I admit I could be doing something "wrong" but since the new service pack, after landing, the spoilers will not retract. They remain deployed.I have changed nothing to the way I fly, Autobrake set, spoilers armed, they work great on touch down, come out of reverse at 80-90kts, manual brake, turn off the active, throw the spoiler handle up (and it goes back down but refuses to un deploy). Also tried retracting the flaps and then throwing the handle up, again it moves back down again.Gimme the gears guys! But how can I fix this.

hmm.. have you tried pushing the throttles forward to the config horn? They should auto-retract.. this is the procedure I use to stow them after landing.

Yeah usually they woudl retract on their own (as you said by moving the throttles forward). But they keep popping back deployed as if they are still armed.

For me they would only do that as long as the revs are up. Not sure if that's your issue though. As long as the reversers are unlocked there is no way to manually stow the speed brakes. I need to be in forward idle at minimum in order to be able to move the lever manually. Also a topic of another thread at the moment... Prolly a bug.sig.gif

If you retract under 60kts they retracts, if not, you have problems with your installation/settings, over 60kts is an issue. I'm going to report it to the team.

As I said I did not have the issue before. Advancing the throttles after landing would have them retract on their own. Now they refuse to, even when manually trying to move the handle forward they immediatly deploy again.

NEG to the button assigment. As I said, I had no issues before the new SP and changed nothing in my assigments, my other A/C are working as they should as well. I was wondering if something has been changed since the new SP in the spoilers logic. I admit it is possible that I could be doing something wrong but do not think so. The only way to get them stowed again is when I shut down the HYD after shutdown. It is driving me bananas and I'm sure all the virtual pilots are having a good laugh at me while I taxi to my arrival gate with my spoilers deployed (WOAI has virtual AI pilots snicker SFX added to their planes for this situation as you pass them on the ramp)....

I already answered, if your spoilers won't retract under 60kts, your problem is with your installation, it is not sp1c related, mine are working.Re-install or check settings. That's all.

Actually I was not 100% certain what you said Andrea as I found it a bit confusing to be honest. If you retract under 60kts they retracts, As I said they do not retract at allif not, you have problems with your installation/settings, Are you 100% certain I have a corrupt installation? It is certainly not my setting, unless of course something has changed in the spoiler logic since the last patch. Has it?over 60kts is an issue. What is an issue over 60kts?I'm going to report it to the team. What exactly are you going to report to "the team"?Also, are you an official support person for PMDG?I am not trying to be smug but before I go uninstalling and reinstalling.......

Al Stiff

On my system, with sp1c I can retract spoilers under 60kts, exactly like in sp1b and original release. The issue is related in the logic of the speed brakes and is present from the original release. I reported it to the team (I sent a ticket) and was answered that it is a FSX limitation. The wrong logic is about the manual override of the auto speed brake actuator, a bit complex to explain without add confusion, but it was discussed in other topics, one recent. The team answered by telling that there is no way to let the actuator stay in another position other than the lever position, so there is no way to manual override it when is working (over 60kts of wheel speed), when under this speed the lever could be either manually or automatically stowed. So, mine is working as the NGX works from the original release, if you want, wait the others to confirm that, but, the problem is with your installation/settings. No matter if you have not changed them, something is wrong with your files.
