FS2Crew with FSDT GSX

Featured Replies

Hi Bryan,Whilst we all wait patiently for the call to say that the NGX release is available, I have one quick question. Will FS2Crew be compatable with FSDT GSX. Will the pushback feature work with this addon so we can have GSX puchback graphics with FS2Crew sounds, and do you think there will be an update to control the deboarding and boarding?

I use GSX with FS2Crew on my level-d 767, it's no issue. But you can't use parts of pushback from one program with parts from the other program.Either you use the GSX pushback, or you use the FS2Crew pushback. What you can also do is replace the sounds from the GSX pushback (the default robot voice from the ground crew) with whatever you want.

Can I get the FS2Crew ground crew/pushback sounds to replace the GSX version? I love the GSX pushback, but its robot voices are horrible.

So for GSX should I leave DOOR controls turned off in the fs2crew config? And completely ignore any ground communication through fs2crew and the NGX? I'm so baffled today, haha.-stefan

Thanks, Bryan. I've used FS2Crew since the original NG for FS2004 days and still remember many great flights with it. That and the LDS767 version. This voice control version is by far the best yet!

I've had no problem letting FS2Crew control the doors. If you want to do catering via GSX just open/close those doors for them. Otherwise FS2C will open/close the other doors at the appropriate time.
Alright. Do I still need to talk to ground crew for engine start at all or do I completely ignore them?Thanks,-stefan
For me, I find it best right now to completely ignore FS2C pushback crew. Eg, when I'm ready to pushback I contact GSX instead of FS2C.

I do the same, no issues.

Ok great, that's what I needed to know. I wasn't sure if ignoring the fs2crew pushback completely would make it get stuck and I'd need to manually advance (which I have no problem doing, just need to know when I need to do it :) )Thanks!-stefan

Ok so now Im confused... :(I have GSX and AES installed but of course I only use one or the other at the same time ...I haven't used any yet and was hoping to use the Push Back option in FS2Crew Voice Edition.I set the SVC switch in the AFT OVRHD panel as mentioned in the manual and can call the ground crew saying "Ground From Cockpit" and he replies with "Go Ahead"This si also confirmed with the green display bar.But then nothing,I have tried everything I can think of but nothing is working.I have the Control panel set to APU only and run through the PF so the PNF sets the APU running etc.Am I missing something here ?

Hi Adam,Now I'm confused :Nerd:FS2Crew does not control GSX or AES. If you select AES in the options menu, it just means FS2Crew won't perform functions that AES will do related mainly to door handling, air stairs, etc.).So if you initiate contact via Voice with the FS2Crew Crew, you'll need to use the proper required Speech Phrases, listed here...So for a regular pushback, after the start crew says: "Go Ahead", speak: "WE ARE READY FOR PUSHBACK AND ENGINE START" unless you are doing an external air start. That's the one you'll use most of the time.START CREW - PUSHBACK REQUIRED- COCKPIT TO GROUND- GROUND FROM COCKPIT- WE ARE READY FOR PUSHBACK- WE ARE READY FOR PUSHBACK AND ENGINE START- WE ARE READY FOR AN EXTERNAL AIR ENGINE START- YOU CAN DISCONNECT THE EXTERNAL AIR AND GPU NOW- BRAKES RELEASED- BRAKES SET- YOU ARE CLEARED TO DISCONNECT AND GO TO HAND SIGNALSSTART CREW - PUSHBACK 'NOT' REQUIRED- COCKPIT TO GROUND- GROUND FROM COCKPIT- WE ARE READY FOR ENGINE START- WE ARE READY FOR AN EXTERNAL AIR ENGINE START- YOU ARE CLEARED TO DISCONNECT AND GO TO HAND SIGNALS
