Unable to download Glovepie for trackir workaround

Featured Replies

I would like to implement the TrackIR workaround but seem unable to download glovepie from the link listed in the tutorial here on avsim. The link provided was http://glovepie.org/glovepie_download.php. This page refers to a download page but there doesn't seem to be a link to the download page? Thanks was any assistance.

I passed the link from the tutorial on to a friend and she also was unable to download it. Just a thought-if this glovepie is not a large download and if it's free maybe another member could email it to others.
I googled the file and found this link.http://download.chip...30_174835.html. It appears to be the latest version and didn't have any crapware bundled with it. Shame about his site being hacked.
That link doesn't work - 404 error.

Yeah I saw that Glovepie.org had been hacked and posted a comment to that tutorial warning about it last night, but it looks like my post has not been approved yet by the moderators, but I would not download anything from glovepie.org now that it is hacked.I downloaded a version from here which I scanned with two separate antivirus/malware products and has been working fine:http://download.chip.eu/en/GlovePie-0.30_174835.html

Thanks. I check the Tutorial section every morning to see what -if anything- needs to be done. Note that unless there's something which needs to be corrected with the original "Tutorial" entry, "comments" are not routinely "Approved." Otherwise, the "Tutorial" section would simply become yet another "discussion forum" and destroy the intended purpose of the "Tutorial" section entirely.However, in this case I have "Approved" all of the Comments made for this particular topic since it is of so much concern to so many people. I have also Edited the original entry to remove the hacked link and substituted the one you have personally verified as being "virus free."If and when the host site for GlovePie is determined to be un-hacked and safe again to use, I'll re-edit the original post to provide a direct link to the author's website.

Thanks Fr. Bill that makes sense.Updating the original tutorial that was my main worry, to try to stop my fellow AVSIM users from being infected with possible malware, but also to provide the good safe link so that they can still benefit from this great workaround, which really enhances Flight for those of us waiting for the official TIR support.Thanks again.

I got GlovePIE 0.45 from the following:http://glovepie.org/...ePIE045Free.zipI didn't scan it though.

PC=9700K@5Ghz+RTX2070  VR=HP Reverb|   Software = Windows 10 | Flight SIms = P3D, CAP2, DCS World, IL-2,  Aerofly FS2

Yeah be careful with that download from glovepie.org as the site was hacked and defaced while the download was still available, there's a chance the hackers could have added malware to the file after the hack.Fr. Bill's updated link on the Tutorial from here works fine for Flight and is safe:http://download.chip.eu/en/GlovePie-0.30_174835.html
