  1. Thanks for that tip, I had tried to install it in P3Dv3 with no luck, but this worked.
  2. Thanks for the heads up, haven't bought Carenado plane in a long while, but at this price it's worth checking out.
  3. Wow sad to hear it, RIP Tom and thanks, my condolences to the family and friends.
  4. Sad to hear the news Tom, you've done a great thing, AVSIM makes a huge difference to this hobby, my thoughts are with you and your family, keep fighting.
  5. EZDok has been working flawlessly for me for a long while. I have tried Opus cam a couple of times including a recent build and I like the camera setup and management, but the trackIR movement is just too jumpy compared to the smoothness of EZDok. I tried messing with the settings suggested (TIR priority, sampling etc) and just cannot seem to get it as smooth and natural as EZdok so I am sticking with EZdok for now until Opus gets their TIR interaction working better.
  6. Q400_Flyer, it might do you some good to take a few hours break from the A2A forum and this thread, gives you a break from being frustrated, and the support folks a chance to catch up and consume the flood of release feedback and questions and problem reports. I say this with good respect for you from your past posts which demonstrate a very enthusiastic and helpful FSX fanatic (like myself), and as someone with similar enthusiasm and urgency to get stuff fixed, at work I sometimes let my expectations and enthusiasm exceed the ability of those responsible to respond or provide a fix. Sometimes this helps push people to fix things faster, but sometimes it just leaves me frustrated, a break and a bit of patience usually helps.
  7. I also get this occasionally with the B200 and have had it 1 out 7 flights with the C172. 3 fullscreen monitors, EZdok+TIR, Opus with camera control disabled, FSXAcceleration, Win7x64, Aero Disabled.
  8. Just wanting to pass on my positive experience with the C172, after 2hrs worth of a few short hops, I ran into a couple of the bugs mentioned but overall am really enjoying the feel and immersion of it. I had the mouse clickspots issue during one of my 7 flights (3 monitor fullscreen user, EZdock here), and I notice the the Orbx scenery ground friction problem, but otherwise this thing is a pleasure to fly, and it is working great with my RXP530. I plan to keep enjoying it while A2A resolves the bugs, their support on the P-40 and P-51D in the past has been terrific so I have confidence they will get this right.
  9. Thanks, I've been pickier on purchases lately and waiting on reviews whenever possible, that has paid off.
  10. 1. VoxATC (love it so far, good realism/workload) 2. Twin Otter Extended (my new bush plane, love it) 3. F1 Kingair B200 (love it, learning the G1000) 4. Alabeo Staggerwing D-17 (ok, eyecandy but fast for the type of plane it is) 5. Majestic Dash 8 Q400 (love it, learning the FMS) Soon A2A C172
  11. Really liking this update, big improvement on the FPS with G1000 on, thanks Carenado for the support! This will make me consider glass cockpit Carenado planes in the future which I had sworn off due to the previous framerate probs, so it will pay off for you as well.
  12. Are you using Ezdok? I get that sometimes when I install a new airplane or update and forget to run the EZCA config to update the cameras.
  13. Yeah I specifically buy at FSS (FlightSimStore) and other vendors because they allow free downloads later, and I avoid buying from vendors that don't allow this. I just went and checked and FSS still allows free downloads of everything I've ever ordered there over the years like they always have. OP please correct your post subject/title FSS is not charging for downloads and this is causing people confusion.
  14. In case some missed this, Carenado has apparently said they will update the SR22 and C182T G1000 with the TBM850 framerate friendly version once they are done with the work on the recent C206, see: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/412757-g1000-fps-patch-for-sr22-t182-yay/ Very welcome news to me.
  15. Wow this is awesome news, thanks Carenado! really looking forward to flying the SR22 in some places I avoid now due to framerate.
  16. Hope you get this working. If only Carenado supported their products after release... I would even settle for the SR22 to have the more framerate friendly G1000 from the TBM850, but no dice, my attempt to surgical transplant the TBM850 G1000 into the SR22 via panel.cfg never powered on. I think transplanting the Mindstar and other G1000s will also be difficult due to the way the SR22 MFD buttons are located on a separate pedestal gauge and not to the right of the MFD. Anyhow wish you luck and hope someone has a breakthrough as I love the SR22 besides the framerate in busy areas.
  17. The poll didn't have an exact option for what I use and am happy with: Opus for Live Weather Engine (can't beat it's cloudy weather depiction) REX for Textures EZDok for Camera
  18. Can you confirm if the forum part of your website will be available soon? I'm interested in the G1000 product and looked around on the website trying to determine how compatible this add-on is with some of the aircraft I want to plug it into, but the G1000 configuration webpage just shows instructions from FS2004 with the default C172 and the link to the FAQ about the product is a link to the forums which appear to be down at the moment: http://www.mindstaraviation.com/cgi-bin/avforum/board.pl?board=brd_g1000_support;action=display;num=1164737708 The website also mentions that newer versions have more features with details and betas available on the forums but no way to tell for sure with the forums down. I own the RXP530 and am looking at the Mindstar G1000 potentially to plug it into aircraft I have where I would enjoy the enhanced depth (Milviz C310R which I hear already works) and hopefully faster framerate (Carenado SR22T, C182T) which I can't really tell from the website whether it will work for it or not. I'd be interested in potentially buying Mindstar products, but the lack of pre-sale info on the website and no forums to get that info is a barrier to me purchasing right now. Not complaining but just passing on the feedback as regards the priority of the website or support forums goes.
  19. Glad to see 3PD doing scenery for X-Plane 10 :Applause: But with that said, from looking at the screenshots the autogen still features way too many skyrise condo buildings everywhere which are not very typical of North America towns or cities outside Miami Beach or other coastal downtown areas. Was hoping for a more immersive look different from stock XP10 or what we can do with OSM ourselves.
  20. Not to be too critical because the Milviz C310R and B55 are two of my favorite planes, they look great and fly great, but when I compare them to the Carenado C337 and C90, the Milviz planes have a much higher framerate hit than the Carenado equivalents. I'm only mentioning that to set the right expectations if someone is expecting a Milviz plane with glass to have a better framerate than Carenado with glass, I would not bet money on that at least from comparing the similar steam gauge planes. Good to be optimistic as long as you don't freak out if reality doesn't pan out that way. Count me in for the Milviz 350 either way if it's as good as the C310R and B55.
  21. Unfortunately I don't think we can overlap the Shockwave strobes in because they will blink at a different rate than the stock ones and the stock ones are part of the model.
  22. Thanks Trevor, that SR22T picture does seem to call into question their response. I look forward to hearing what you find, maybe if you confirm and they hear from multiple customers they will revisit it, although I do wonder if having to rework the modeling exceeds what they are able to do in a patch. I'm still really enjoying this plane and very glad I bought it, it would just be great to have those kind of things accurate.
  23. Update: I got a nice quick reply back from Carenado on my support ticket I sent last night (great support). They confirmed that they will work on adding the landing light bloom for a service pack, but they said the SR22 Turbo model doesn't have the rear white nav light, so that is why it isn't modeled. I wasn't able to find a maintenance document specific to the Turbo model and have no real world experience with it, so I will defer to their expertise on it and will comment out those 2 white nav lights in my light config above.
