March 11, 201214 yr Great utility once again.I noticed on Takeoff during the after takeoff checklist on the button control version the FO says:"Flaps Down" instead of "Flaps Up"I was also wondering why during pre flight flows the FO turns on the wheel well light. I always end up turning it off during taxi. Also would it be possible that when he blanks the lower DU to put the secondary engine indications on the Upper DU. Just Checking. Thanks Sean Green

Just Checking.ThanksDid you run the after takeoff checklist before the flaps were up ? You have to Fully retract the flaps before you call for the after takeoff checklist. He turns it on so he can see in the wheel well when he does his walkaround. That'll only display information that really isn't necessary, You could ENG buttin a quick click if you want. Just Checking.ThanksI assume you have external hardware? One of our beta testers had the exact same and it was external hardware related. My tester said:I use a panel state save and every now and then the PFC driver does not always load cleanly, if I cycle them with my go flight controls it gets them in sync. For some reason the positions are not necessarily correct all the time depending on where the switch position is when I shut the sim down. I then am making sure they agree in the sim with my hardware when I start up again. All I know is it solves the issues and all calls are correct. B. March 11, 201214 yr Author It seems Damien was correct; I must have been calling the after takeoff too soon I guess and flaps weren't fully retracted. I only use Ch Yoke and Rudder pedals; nothing else.I noticed another thing and maybe you can correct me here. I usually takeoff with VNAV but this time I didn't and when I called for "flaps up speed" the speed knob turned but it only clicked to v2+20 not to flaps up speed. I understand from the PMDG forum this is proper behaviour of the MCP speed control but what am I doing wrong here not to get flaps up speed. Thanks Sean Green
March 11, 201214 yr Commercial Member Glad you got it sorted.Flaps up speed should command 220 knots in the speed window.I can't "read" actual flap speed off the PFD (SDK doesn't allow it), so we just use 220 knots... it's generally very close.
