March 12, 201214 yr highly recommend Radar Contact. Its not perfect and it wont direct you on the ground, however its still 100x better than Default atc as it allows you to set SID/STARs diversions, emergencies, and alot more. Works well with the NGX however sometimes it will start asking you to decend upto 50 or more miles from the FMC TOD point. But as with real life you should come down when you are told hehe. You can ask for Pilots Discretion though. March 12, 201214 yr highly recommend Radar Contact. Its not perfect and it wont direct you on the ground, however its still 100x better than Default atcI bought Radar Contact a couple of years ago, installed and removed it a few times, just couldn't warm up to it. The interface sux big time, and the voices are very robotic. As many faults as the FSX ATC has, it's more appealing to the eyes & ears, especially when using it just for take-off and approach only. March 15, 201214 yr Imagine your eyes at sea level & you saw a plane at 10000ft above the water as that plane moved over the land it's height would be less if the land rose as in most cases, hence why theere are different pressure settings ..This isn't right it has nothing to do with the elevation of the ground below you. March 15, 201214 yr Commercial Member This isn't right it has nothing to do with the elevation of the ground below you.It was a generalization, relax. That's also not mentioning that settings in the US and UK are slightly different (QNH, QFE and so on). Some procedures have people set altimeters to indicate AGL based on the local pressure. He alludes to those procedures and if you look at his location, you'd see that confirmed....and sign your posts. Kyle Rodgers
