March 24, 201214 yr I actually removed the throttle idle detent from my Cougar Throttle, I just found over time I really preferred not having it.Thankfully though my two rotaries on my Throttle do have detents and those I do find handy,I'm using one rotary wheel for prop control and the other for mixture, so I don't need detents on them in Flight, but I'm sure I will wish for them in something else, eventually.I'm really hoping for a twin soon, so I can try out the dual throttles.
March 24, 201214 yr Author Hey guys,Sorry for not replying earlier but i wasn't at home at all and for some reason, it wouldn't let me leave a reply over my cell phone.Anyway, i read that one of you had a problem with assigning hat switch and mini joystick on throttle unit to be used in Flight. In my case, Flight automatically assigned mini joystick on throttle unit to "free view". Weird. I am not sure about the hat switch though, since i didn't even try assigning it but i am about to fly now so i will try and let you guys know. Also, to a member that asked about G940 quality, i have nothing but words of praise for it. I love it and can't wait for FF support.Once you start using it, you won't wish for any other controller :) At least, it's like that in my case. I do, however, plan on getting a yoketo use them in planes that don't naturally have sticks but still, G940 is an awesome piece of hardware.Cheers
March 25, 201214 yr Eevun, do you have an area around the stick's center where you can gently control the plane with no resistance, then the resistance suddenly begins as you move the stick further off-center? I'm trying to find out if that is normal in games that don't support force feedback, or if I have a problem.

Near the center, it's quite loose and you can just slightly move your stick and it will recognize an input. The further away form the center it goes, it gradually requires much more force to move the stick. It's cuz of lack of FF support for sure. I didn't have those issues in FSX using G940.Cheers

March 25, 201214 yr Sounds like yet another good reason to email the Flight team you guys' desires for them to implement FFB in Flight , if you have not done so already! Don B
March 25, 201214 yr Yeah, I am due for another email to them. It's been about three days since the last one.
March 25, 201214 yr @ dburne; try to run flight as administrator (right click icon - run as administrator). I had a similar issue with other software not registering custom buttons and that solved it for me.Also, first post :Loser:

I love the fact that Flight has the appeal that it is bringing in some new blood to this great hobby of flightsimming!Hope to see more posts from you as time goes on - this forum I would have to consider to be one of the best hangouts on Avsim today.I appreciate the tip - however I am not really having issue in that regard, I was responding to others that did have. At least I think, my aging memory tends to be short lived these days lol. Don B

March 25, 201214 yr dburne, I have been simming since fs95 and also reading and lurking on this forums off and on. I got my on and offs with simming but always come back. MS flight sparked me again :D
March 25, 201214 yr MS flight sparked me again :DGreat to hear - I must admit this long time somewhat serious flight simmer, has been sparked again as well! Don B
