March 16, 201214 yr When I start my Microsoft Flight, about five seconds later (still on the first loading screen) I get the above error....HELP!!!! :shok: JP1018
March 16, 201214 yr i know i know. have this also every 2 or 3 times I start flight. I can then only repair my installation which is only an option if you installed flight manually and saved the installation files.. otherwise if you installed via GfW you may have to deinstall and download all again. March 16, 201214 yr Author I already reinstalled it twice after deleting all the files...anything else?? JP1018
March 16, 201214 yr strange then. make sure you also delete the content of the temp folder where the downloads are stored. this makes sure that you really download a fresh version which is not corrupt. on my machine most downloads were actually corrupted. had to try several times... you can check the downloaded cab file before you install flight by unzipping the cab, winzp or 7zip will tell you when they have issues with the download. if the download is fine then there is obviously a problem with the previous installation. you may then have to manually delete also some GfW folder under your user account, at c:usersYOURUSERNAMEApp DataLocal..., let me know if you don't find the necessary steps posted here in the forum, typing from my mobile so cannot provide link right nowEDIT found the link: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/365672-microsoft-flight-has-detected-a-corrupted-installation-and-will-now-exit/page__view__findpost__p__2293882 Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"

March 19, 201214 yr Just a suggestion, but would it be of any use if a new subforum for CTD's be created?
March 19, 201214 yr Just a suggestion, but would it be of any use if a new subforum for CTD's be created?Yegads, surely not - I thought only FSX needed such a subforum! :smile:I know there have been a handful of users with issues such as this - however truly the numbers have been very small, at least my perception of the numbers, and many got them resolved by a redownload and reinstall of Flight and DLC, outside of the system partition.
