Fps drops from 30 to 10.

I think XPX is not cleaning up RAM or VRAM as when I had the 172 my fps was good then I tried P180 and it dropped to 6 fps so switched back to 172 and the fps never came up. Now don't tell me it's my system as I don't think it's my system.
There could be many reasons foir such a behavior: Different clouds due to real weather or location, more complex map around you with lots of streets and vehicles, or it got a bit sunnier and your computer have to botehr with a lot more dynamic shadows. In general the pure overclocking workflows don't really work in X-Plane. First you have to find out, what your bottlenecks really are.It shoulde be logical that X-Plane doesn't flash the RAM and VRAM if you only switch planes. It only rweloads the complete scenery, when it has to, since the loading and unpacking takes a long time.

well it is at the same position KSEA had not even taken off, and clouds are all off. Ohh Ocing does not work with XPX ?

Overclocking can only help, if you improve a bottleneck. FSX was rather simple: The faster the clock the better the results. But high frequencies change the thermal environment so CPUs and GPUs could reduce the number of working units. Caches and RAM can get out of sync faster...X-Plane really uses multiple cores and even Hyperthreading. It handles much more data, which means the internal transfer speeds are a much bigger issue. The overclocked GPU can't produce more frames if the data isn't there yet.In the FSX ist was quite clear: If I want to raise one setting, I have to reduce another. In X-Plane this isn't always the case. While you reach limits with one setting you can easily activate o5r raise other settings, since it doesn't bother the real bottleneck on YOUR system. As an example: on my computer I was already in the limits with certain objects, but I found out that I could activate HDR without any additional penalties. On another computer the situation can be completly different.

I reduced my OC and will try again with the two different planes.

I hope that Austin does something about the clouds / water as those are fps killers. :( and without the weather pull neat 50 fps.I am going to put my X3 to stock speeds as according to this post http://developer.x-p...ame-rates-pt-1/ it says certain things need Bus bandwidth and my NB is @1400 mhz so let me try going back 2000mhz.Anyone have any idea if XPX recognizes more than 1 GB of VRAM as it is a 32 bit sim ?
Just because it's 32 bit doesn't mean it won't recognoze more than 1GB of VRAM. 32 bit vs 64 bit focuses more on addressable memory space than anything else.On my setup and settings, XPX is currently using about 1.6 GB of VRAM.

How do I check how much VRAM does XPX use ? should I use GPU-Z ?

Go into your Rendering and settings page in sim. At the bottom of the page, it tells you how much VRAM you are using.

It shows me that it is using 93-105 MB

155.86MB.That's not much at all. With your graphics card, You can bump up a few of your settings. Get it up to using about 500 or so MB of VRAM. Increase texture resolution, world detail distance, and you could even turn off your texture compression.

I don't see any option for texture compression in the Renderer

Top left corner."Compress textures to save vram"Uncheck that.

K stdby.168 meg.Can you tell me what does the CPU count exactly tell you ? it keeps jumping between 0.600 to 0.920.

CPU count will always vary between systems and individual settings.
