You can try KEY COMMANDS in FMC.Go to MENU, PMDG SETUP, OPTIONS,KEY COMMANDS, click on Next Page on FMC keypad and on pg 2/3 at the bottom is HGS. Set it to the key you want. All the bestdmb

Yep, do it via the FMC, I have the "H" key assigned.

I've got a couple of spare buttons on my Saitek X52 but it doesn't recocnise those only seems to like the keyboard keys. Anyone know if I could use FSUIPC to solve this problem ?

Glen

Yes, you can set up your FSUIPC to send a key command after you push a button. This is done on "Buttons and switches" tab. If you have a two position switch (on/off) you can even set it up so it will press the button once on setting the switch ON and once on setting the switch OFF thereby linking HUGS behaviour to it as a proper switch.
