Nvidia GTX680 review at last!

Featured Replies

I was considering upgrading. I don't just fly with FSX though. I also have Mass Effect 3 as well as a few other games that would make use of it. Skyrim comes to mind when you put 100 AI on the field. Requires a lot of calculating, both with the CPU and GPU. The TXAA antialiasing looks good as well. It's similar to the stuff that the film industry uses.

One of the main interests of the 680 for us simmers might be the possibility to avoid ATI and its eyefinity or Matrox's TH2G, and use 4 screens directly from the Graphics Card : 3 for FSX's cockpit view and 1 for instrument display/FMC/you name it. That's what I'll be looking for when deciding when I'll start building my IB setup this summer. My 2 cents anyway.

Specs : i7920@4,1GHZ, Asus Rampage II Extreme, MSI GTX560 Ti Twin Frozr II OC, 6Go RAM OCZ, Corsair HX850, Coolermaster Storm Sniper Black Mesh, Noctua NH-D14

I'm currently running a dual GTX-480 setup in order to run 3 screens. The new feature of being able to run triple screen + aux screen is of interrest to me as it will decrease the heat generated by my machine and will be much cheaper than buying 2 $500+ graphics cards. This might be a worthwhile upgrade for my machine. I'm waiting for someone to actually use FSX with it before I decide.
