March 23, 201214 yr So ayway after 30+ hours with the sim - here is what I myself would like to see addressed - fixed, enhanced, asap- prior to next DLC, or included in next DLC.Native Track IR Support < no secret there huh> Next DLC probably will not happen for me without this one...Toe brakes mappable to rudder pedals so equipped.Pause Game - ability to map to a key/button - freeze the screen within the 3d cockpit - ability to zoom whilst paused, much like FSX.Map View - accessible anytime while in cockpit - ie missions, jobs, challenges. Game should pause whilst in map view.Save Flight - ditto to Map ViewExterior view getting locked occasionally due to bug - need to fix asap.So that is my " wish list" I guess. Short and sweet.Really, I am loving this sim so much with what it offers now - things that I would have thought might be more important to me, well are not quite as important I guess as I thought , at least for now. Like autopilot, atc. I would like to see them added someday where the sim has grown to where that makes sense, but do not feel a pressing need at this time.And yes, I have communicated to the Flight Team as well of course.I am easy to please apparently. March 23, 201214 yr Amazing how quick your "must haves" changes. Are you just trying to please the MS team so they don't quit, or what? It's an inferior product, and will remain so until they add the basic functions (and no, I'm not going to list them again).I claim it is inferior based on the price they are charging, not on preconceived notions of what a "Sim" should or must have. This is really an early Beta, but we already paid the equivalent of a new release, boxed retail game. AND WE ARE STILL IN FORKIN HAWAII WITH A PLANE WITHOUT A COCKPIT, AND A FLYING BMW/CANOE WITH A VESPA MOTOR!!!Ahum....sorry about that....... :Straight Face:
March 23, 201214 yr Are you just trying to please the MS team so they don't quit, or what?Why, no... we're just enjoying Flight for what it is, not condemning it for what it isn't.Map view: consider what happens in multiplayer. The player's plane stops, so it's already paused. Go to map view when near some recognizable ground feature. Wait a bit. Go back to cockpit. Has the plane moved? Or are you talking about something else when you say "pause in map view"?While map view can be useful, I've stopped using it during a flight in favor of top down view anyway, which is available any time.I'd like to see a game pause function that allows you to take screen shots. Also, a "declutter" key for the same purpose, although some people would use it to turn off the destination markers, which is also good.Oh yeah... I'm coming up fast on 120 hours. I also had 120 hours in the beta. :DHook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
March 23, 201214 yr Commercial Member I demand some kind of ATC system before buying any DLC for Flight. I want ATC to communicate with before I can really have fun with it as general aviation simulator.
March 23, 201214 yr Perfect and very well thought TDL before the next DLC release. I can't think of anything more adequate right now!Thx dburne!!! March 23, 201214 yr Author Map view: consider what happens in multiplayer. The player's plane stops, so it's already paused. Go to map view when near some recognizable ground feature. Wait a bit. Go back to cockpit. Has the plane moved? Or are you talking about something else when you say "pause in map view"?Well I do not really do multiplayer so I did not have that in mind in regards to this - let's say not in mulitplayer, if I am on say a job or challenge and want to view the map while flying, press M and it brings up the map - the sim pauses, and I can look around the map all I like without worry of the plane getting out of shape or what not, when done go back into the cockpit and unpause the sim to continue. I guess multiplayer that would not make sense and probably should not apply there?Perfect and very well thought TDL before the next DLC release. I can't think of anything more adequate right now!Thx dburne!!!Thanks for the compliment jcomm!I certainly could have more, these are just the most immediate things that come to my mind that I would like to see done in Flight. I'm not sure why they disabled the map view during a job, unless it's because there are too many menu items that would interfere, and disabling the menu items was more work than they had time to do right then.ESC will still pause, and top down view will still allow you to look at the general lay of the land, but you'll have to find your own airports. I've discovered that finding your own airports in top down view isn't really that hard. It's not trivial, but it's not impossible either.Personally, I'd like to be able to access a map. :)Hook Larry Hookins Oh!
