Warning Points

Featured Replies

So, since the recent forum upgrade, there now appears next to my Avatar in every post I make, a line saying:"2 warning points".That's interesting, I did not know I had 'form' :)On clicking on both of these warning entries I'm told one was from Tom Allensworth and one from Chase. In the 'Reason' field I am told the reason for both of these warnings is :- "Unknown".Can I suggest that if you are going to let your forum members know they have been 'warned' by the authorities of this great forum, that you also give even just a brief reason why, rather than unknown?I mean, it's not hugely useful to anyone being told they've been 'warned' but not being told why....Thankfully, my member points status sits at +70, so I am pleased that at least some of the readership of AVSIM value my posts, (despite my 'warnings' form!), which I try to make about products I recommend (or don't recomment), and trying to help other users where I can.I can't help but wondering whether I'll receive a further 'warning' for this pretty harmless post, raising this question. I think sometimes the 'warnings' given by some people are really down to personality clashes, rather than any objective mis-conduct.Not always; some people have deserved warnings! ...... but I recall providing what I felt was pretty unemotionally and fairly presented feedback to Tom on an issue some weeks back, and can only assume, that that resulted in my 'warning'.But there we go ........ perhaps challenges and open feedback, no matter how they're offered, aren't welcome.Thanks.

David.
