Project Airbus A380 for FSX

Featured Replies

Does anybody happen to know of a package that contains the PAirbus A380 for FSX with the VC? All the packages I've found either only include the VC with the FS9 version or include something like the Thomas Ruth A340 VC. Is it possible to successfully merge the FS9 VC into FSX?Thanks,boeing247

The PA 380 package for FSX dosen't come with a VC? I thought it did

No, it's aliased to the default B747-400 VC.

You can add a vc. You need to head over to the pairbus forums and you'll see threads about it.

Okay, thanks. Do you know how much functionality it actually has?

Download the base a380 package for fs9. It comes with a VC.You can use the whole fs9 aircraft as it is (with VC) in FSX !The VC has the basic autopilot functions . There is also the possibility to integrate the VasFMC,but I didn't try that! There are also special FSX model files which will give you the possibility to choose between VC or cabin!I explained all this some days ago in this thread on the PA forum:http://www.pafs.wf/d....php?f=6&t=2014Good luck!Guy

Are the overhead panel/pedestal switches simulated?

Thanks! Just a few more questions (for now, at least...):1. Are the overhead items listed in the manual the only functional ones? Does that mean the APU does not work?2. Does the autopilot have managed altitude and heading hold (nav)?3. Is more functionality going to be added?

1.Apu is not modelled2.With the normal VC (without Vas) you climb/descend using VS and you can follow a FS Gps flightplan using Nav. I do not know what is possible when using the VasFMC as I haven't tried that.3. Don't think so.The PA 380 is a work of art and the VC is also very good. Don't forget that it is freeware. If you want to have the real airbus functions Managed/Selected/Open climb/cruise/descent/speed , you can combine it with one of the payware panels.I use (in FSX) the old PSS A340 panel together with the PA VC (where I have integrated the PSS Pfd, Nd and Ecam's) . So I have a complete aircraft with all real Airbus functions. Even autolandings are perfect!I know that others use the Wilco panel with it.Guy

Could you please post some instructions on how to add the pssa340 displays to the pa a380 vc ? I just tried but no can do.yet.

Thanks

Hi,

I fly the Pa A380 with Pss panel in FSX.

The 2d panel is the original pss A340 and the (non-clickable!) VC is the Pa A380 Vc

modified with the Pss displays.

As base I use the pss A340 panel adapted for Fsx as explained here:

http://forum.avsim.n...25#entry2403486

In the A340 panel.CFG I have replaced then the original Pss Vc descriptions

by those from PA and therin I have replaced the PFD, ND and Ecam gauge

descriptions by those from Pss.

I have ATTACHED my panel description (renamed to .txt to get it accepted)

In the panel FOLDER you must have evidently all the original Pa

descriptions and bmp's.

One little drawback, when using the Pss panel with the PA A380, is that

on cruise it flies level (instead of 2-3° nose-up) .

But otherwise everything is working well (including autolandings).

(To obtain normal Take-off and landing speeds you must introduce in the

Mcdu a ZFW corresponding to the A340)

Good luck !

Guy

Hi,

Thanks for your panel.cfg. I'm using it now but I still get a few black screens .Here's the pict.

1) As I said already in my previous message, you must have the basic PA VC definitions

(_ap, _aclock, _ecam etc ) in your panel folder !

2) to make the lower Ecam work it is necessary to have the term 'PAgauges' in the

title of the aircraft.cfg, like this :

[fltsim.3]

title = Airbus A380-841 Lufthansa PAgauges (VC380) PSS

sim = PA380

...

I do not use the panel's left and right of the lower Ecam.

(I think they are used by the VasFmc in the original vc )

You mean the folders ? I have them there !

[fltsim.3]

I have this:

title=Project Airbus A380-861 Air France VC PAgauges

----------------

Edit I have most if it working. I had few definitions missing so now they show. Thanks

What i can't get to work is the lower ecam.
