March 27, 201214 yr About a Zotac at 2000MHz core clock....double PHEW...http://www.legitrevi...com/news/12697/ That is literally disgusting...... In a good way :Big Grin:If those are priced decently, I might wait for those rather than the regular clocked versions. -- I am seriously excited to see how many more FPS I am going to get over my piece of crap GTS450. :LMAO:
March 27, 201214 yr I think those highly clocked versions are gonna make a massive difference. Cuz when I overclock my 580 to 900 MHz, I get around 5 fps more. Imagine what would happen with 2000 MHz! That would be 1200 MHz more than my card, so that will give me 12 x 5 = 60 fps more!? Arjen Vandervelde
March 27, 201214 yr Evga already has the super overclock, FTW and 4GB models on their site. They are not available and when I checked with EVGA yesterday they said it will be a few months for the 4GB. Super OC is available from EVGA now. Too bad the 4gb doesn't qualify for step-up. ;)

March 28, 201214 yr Wait until EVGA will release their SUPERSUPERSUPERClocked edition. Which will have a GPU clock at 1800 MHz! Zotac is developing one with a GPU clock at 2000 MHz! This will make a massive difference in FSX, knowing that overclocking my 580 to 900 MHz actually gives me 5 more fps! Arjen Vandervelde
March 28, 201214 yr Which will have a GPU clock at 1800 MHz!That is crazy... We are going to need some SERIOUSLY fast CPU's to keep up with the in FSX. At least 5.5-6GHZ.
March 28, 201214 yr That is crazy... We are going to need some SERIOUSLY fast CPU's to keep up with the in FSX. At least 5.5-6GHZ.Well with Ivy Bridge 5.5 GHz shouldn't be that much of a problem! As you said a while ago, there was already and i7 3770K that made it to 5 GHz on only 1.2V without any cores disabled. So on 1.4V it MIGHT even reach 5.5 - 6 GHz.And why does the CPU have to be so fast to keep up with extremely overclocked GPU's? What happens if you running a CPU that is 4.5 - 5 GHz together with such a GPU? Do you get CTD's? Stuttering? Arjen Vandervelde
March 28, 201214 yr Zotac is developing one with a GPU clock at 2000 MHz! Only downside to Zotac is most of the time their super OC products never make it to reality or are only sold in China. Biggest thing the 680 needs is AIB's with new PCB's that have voltage control. As of now the 680 limits manual volts thus limiting OC.
March 28, 201214 yr And why does the CPU have to be so fast to keep up with extremely overclocked GPU's?Well... With FSX, unless you have a VERY fast CPU, buying a fast GPU is useless. We still haven't even maxed the GTX580 yet. It still has about 10% headroom with a 2700K@5GHZ.
