No Addons--dont really touch them unless I have too. Sussed it though Goram. Was flying the Carenado C145 & C172 and the L/R Nav lights didn't flash/blink as they do on the default & most other planes--seems those two particular models just dont do that. They illuminate when switched on -- full stop. Thanks for getting back so quick-G'day

It's just a guess, but if they just stay on, they're probably using some custom lighting that utilizes plug ins. As you say, X Planes default lights work fine as of the last update.Best bet is to contact Carenado and ask them about it.

Thanks I will check -- however I started up v9 and ran it through there and it's the same thing .On all the X-Plane installs I have v9 & v10 the lights of C152-C172 do not Blink--however all the other Carnenados Blink fine & I have the full set. Cheers Goran(Ohh God!!! how could you do this to me???--Thats it I'm never ever ever going to fly those planes again!!)--(End of self pitying Rant------)

Sometimes a re-install of the aircraft works. Give that a go.As a last resort, contact Carenado.

LOL!

Carenado will most likely tell you that their aircraft were not designed for X-Plane 10, so they make no guarantees about functionality. Version 10 updates are coming at some unspecified date in the future, but whether or not these updates will be free depends on how much work they need to do to make the planes XP10 compatible.

No I have tried it on my x2 old installs of v9 and x3 installs of v10 so its not that. It's probably that I have never noticed it before. All the other Carenados x4 , infact all of my other planes seem to work except for the Over-wing Cessnas 152-172-185. I'll check out Carenado--meanwhile if any of you Guys have any three of the latter planes open them up if you get a minute please--no pressure--it's just that from forum members you get the YES or NO rather than Thrashing Fruitless Wheat. Cheers guys

Hi, Do you mean the strobe lights or the navigation lights? The carenado C152 and C172N are modelled on the older aircraft that don't have strobes, which is why the rocker switch is missing. Cheers Rhydian

Well done the Rojan Trojan—Everything works fine -- it’s that the old planes do not have strobes!!Cessna C152-C172-C185-Archer = Do not have StrobesBonanza v1 and Bonanza v35 = Beacons on Back not on tail.Saratoga and Mooney = No Beacons.Cheers Mate nice one—never noticed it before probably because they are the only three planes in my quite extensive Light /Medium aircraft collection that are Strobe free.

Only to glad to help mate. I was in the same situation when I bought the carenado C172 for FSX years ago. Love the carenado planes for both platforms. Can't wait for their Cirrus SR22 to come out. Hope they port it to XPX as well. Cheers Rhydian

In that case, thumbs up to Carenado for doing their homework.

Agreed they really are the 'Bollocks' when it comes to accuracy and finish. I've just flown the Bonanza v35 through the mountain passes VFR CMJN to CYPU and had to hug the valley bottoms when natural Weather Cloud rolled in. Brilliant but I would not like to do that in reality--quite Freaky.
