March 30, 201214 yr Hey Everyone.I recently installed GEX for FSX. I've been flying around and looking at the scenery. I wonder if I am doing something wrong... My color's don't look quite as deep and vibrant as they do in the screen shots on the GEX website... Any suggestions?Currently in the sim I have everything maxed out as you can see in the images below along with my nvidia settings. I have also included a shot of my FSX in the Fex Ex plane and a shot of the GEX site screen shot... its not the same area, but its similar I think.Anyway, are there any suggestions as to how to give my colors a bit more depth? My screen seems a bit washed out.... Thanks! Randy
March 30, 201214 yr Well, I have never run with autogen on Normal and maybe that is what it looks like, very sparse. Actually it does not look like it got installed. Hard to tell from the image.Bob Officially retired

March 30, 201214 yr That GEX product background is zoomed our further and a more birds eye view. You're getting the blurry scenery tiles at an angle... in your pic. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

March 30, 201214 yr Traffic on roads takes a hit on performance and rendering of textures and/or mesh. You don't show what you setting is at, but 7-10% is a good starting point. You also don't mention system specs, but if a system is busy enough doing other things there won't be enough time in the rendering loop to draw sharp(est) textures.

In fact on the GEX forum over at Simforums, NickN one of the GEX devs has a little setup guide for new users to ENB to get it set up.A word of caution though, some people have had issues with using the mod while others haven't. I've used it for about two years with no problem or performance hit, but it seems to be a case by case scenario for people who can use it and those who cant. You might also look into the payware Shade program to tweak your colors as well. There are a lot of posts here on Avsim on both Shade and the Enb mod. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
