Now thats one thing I didnt think about - paying again for DX11 ....hmmm ..a painful thought , maybe I should belt tighten right now.

Since I didn't hear any news about John Venema joining the order of the Good Samaritans, this sale is clearly to:

• keep bush flyers from investing more money into MS Flight
• increase the switching cost for those who might decide at some point in the future to switch to another sim platform

My decision also, there is increasing pressure on ORBX's sales right now as there undoubtedly is on other FS devs, this nonsense about the last ever sale may see them eating humble pie in the future.To be honest I have been wanting MS Flight to crash and burn hard, it still might, but any competion is at the end of the day a good thing for us consumers.Bryan.

I posted this elsewhere too, but I can't be bothered by anything else but MS Flight at the moment, so I won't be buying anything from Orbx anymore unless... P3D 2.0 makes MS Flight's enhanced graphics look awful. MS Flight is giving me WOW-moments constantly (specially because of the shadows, the mood, the atmosphere, the fog, the immersion, the light, the fun) and to me FSX and P3D look awfully flat/lifeless/outdated. However, maybe P3D with DX11 will make the old engine finally come to life and well... then I may have another look at it all. But until then MS Flight is my one and only flying game, no matter how many sales Orbx throws at me. :(

DL MS Flight just now and set GFX all to max and......No. Orbx NRM is so much better and the Aircraft are toys.Good points, runs very smooth and could be great in a years time when there are real aircraft.The island did look good but the end of LOD is like night and day everything just turns to FLAT nothing. Nice try and that's it imo. No ITrack and thats a must have for me.Jeroen given how you are so picky over "ton's of tree's and the RV-7. I'am amazed you like it. But good for you if you like it.

Other than the lighting effects, there is nothing in FLIGHT that I cant already get in FSX.

LOL I don't know what it is exactly, but I just love how MS Flight looks and feels... Last weekend (as I posted elsewhere) I compared MS Flight and FSX, running them at the same time and switching between them, but somehow FSX looks dull and flat... MS Flight is giving me constant WOW-moments, not with fair weather btw... but with for instance the Low and threatening weather theme things look awesome and the light... there is light in MSFlight! There simply is no light in FSX. Seems I simply am a sucker for pretty, bright pictures, haha! But really, I honestly can't be bothered with FSX right now... The ease of use of MS Flight, no tweaks needed, it runs perfect, great graphics, those coasts, some specific weather themes, the awesome fog, the shadows on the plane and in the VC... As I said no matter what time of day I fly I frequently think WOW. And the update from today did wonders for my joystick, so things are only getting better...! Heck, after all these years it was MS Flight that made me order rudder pedals last weekend...!

 

I sometimes have the idea that some people don't see what I am seeing...

 

Your pics from FSX look great, but... I don't know... I simply like what MS Flight offers more right now. Ok, I am missing things, like the RV7, but I am having fun and that's what it's all about for me, really.
