Hmm..Starting FS2Crew while sim is paused causing a minor issue

Featured Replies

I had FSX paused when I launched the FS2Crew gauge, that causes FS2Crew to pause when I un-pause the simulator and vice versa. I minor inconvenience, but I did have to end the flight and start over to fix it.Forgive me, but I should read the manual to see if I can unbind the sim pause button from the fs2crew pause. I have not checked the manual yet to see if that's possible.

Had the same problem.Go from full screen to window mode and toggle the pause in window mode. The FS2Crew pause won't be changed and the two will then be back in sync.Simon.

Hi Bryan,Actually it is a little more inconvenient that just something that occurs when the panel is opened. I keep the main panel open at all times but every time I click outside FSX in windowed mode the FS2Crew and FSX pause state become unsynchronized. The work around is as outlined above. Is there a way to ensure the FS2Crew pause is always in the same state as the FSX pause?Enjoying the latest FS2Crew immensely! Thanks,Simon.

Hi Simon,Glad you're enjoying it!I'll look at that pause syncing issue for SP2.Cheers,

Just to add my $0.02 on this, I can't seem to launch FS2Crew and not have it show as paused after SP1.

If FSX is not paused when I start FS2Crew, FS2Crew shows as Paused.

If I start FS2Crew while FSX is paused, FS2Crew shows as running, but as soon as I unpause FSX, FS2Crew goes back to showing "P."

Strange.

That is strange.

Try this:

uncheck "PAUSE ON TASK SWITCH' found in the FSX's 'SETTINGS - GENERAL' menu as shown below:

Already unchecked.

Just an update on this:

In Version 1.2, which I'll probably release very shortly, I've revamped the 'pause' system. I'm using a better system now to detect when the sim is indeed paused... I'm basically using Simconnect for the for the job now whereas previously I used a different method.

It should eliminate the pause sync issues some users experienced.

Cheers,

Thanks Bryan. I think I may have figured this out, though. I realized that my default flight was starting in a paused state. I wondered if maybe this would cause things to get out of sync when loading the 737, so I re-loaded and re-saved my default flight. So far I've only tried it twice, but both those times have resulted in FS2Crew behaving normally.

Thank you, Bryan and Simon for the work-arounds. Sorry for the trouble. So far, that would be my only nit-pick. It's otherwise working wonderfully for me. It's worth every penny and more. I try to brag about it as much as I can in other forums. Thank you once again.
