Still having problems with NGX

Featured Replies

When I load the airplane and sitting at the gate I cannot see the airplane just some parts of it. I thought the latest version fixed this. I get this all the time when I'm at FSdt airports. My PC cant be much better than it is. Can anyone tell me why this is happening please?

Hi George,

Which parts can't you see? Perhaps a screenshot will assist.

With a somewhat inferior system to yours, I very occasionally get a transparency issue with the circuit breaker panels, but it's so rare for me as to be a non-issue. (it has happened 3 times in easily over 150 flights)

Also, if you don't know about the "highmemfix" setting, I'd strongly urge you to look around the forums for further info on it. This setting alleviates a lot of texture drop-outs on high-end addons like the NGX.

Is this just a momentary thing when the flight first loads or persistent?

Do you have Windows 7 x86 (32 bits)?

The transparency does not disappear. i usually get fed up and turn the PC off or go to another airport without detailed scenery, I've done the highmemfix setting already. Using win 7 x64. Will send a pic later at home.

Odd to me..... You have nearly the exact same specs as me and I've never had the same issue, detailed scenery, or not.

Could be worth renaming your fsx.cfg, thus creating a new one and see if it's something in the config.......I'm scratching at straws tho.

Have you got EZDOK if so try restore on Ezca config tool and restore aircraft. Wayne

No EZDOK. Its frustating for me too because I thougth with the hardware I have, I would'nt have any problems. this problem has been consistant since it was purchased at release so I have'nt use the NGX much. I'm at work now so later I will look at my config settings and try to figure out this thing. It's obvious I'm missing something cuz it works for everyone else.
