One thing with Realair aircraft, you don't need to see any reviews or comments. You can buy them "KNOWING" they are always excellent.Another great one.......Anthony....

Hi Shane,To be perfectly honest, I don't remember getting an e-mail about the Sf260 gear, but apologise if we overlooked it. Not being next to my computer at home currently, I can't exactly verify any of the comments you have made, but I do hope you are able to look outside the magnifying glass and appreciate, even enjoy, the wealth of positive features we have worked very hard to provide in all our aircraft.Kind Regards,Rob Young

It says in the support section of the Real Air website to let you guys know ofd anything that may have been missed so I just thought I would let you guys know. However, even though I did find these 2 minor issues the aircraft you guys produce are first rate and of fantastic quality. You guys are truely a blessing to the FS community!:)P.S. I sent the emails to [email protected] (The site said that he worked on the models and such so I thought he was the one to send any findings too).

Just got mine (was very pleased to see that those of us who purchased the Deke get a bit of a price break, nice gesture. :) )So, am I a happy customer? Damn right I am! Good lord these RealAir planes are gorgeous! The exterior models are just mouth watering. The 2D panels are sharp and clean to the Nth degree and the VC is...well...sharp and clean to the Nth degree. The flight models define the word "sublime." And the "realview" feature is really well implemented. Set up some turbulence, turn the Realview up and prepare to feel "unsettled". Man, I just can't imagine how these (the 260, Deke and now the Scout) could be meaningfully improved. Oh, and I am absolutely chomping at the bit for the Spitfire... :DQuick question Rob if you happen to see this - are the patchs to the VCs on the earlier birds near on the horizon? Oh, and will the realview feature be implemented for them as well? That would add a whole new dimension to aerobatics in the 260... :)

>That would add a whole new dimension to aerobatics in the>260... :)>I'd like to see "RealFeel" added to the 260. A device to spin your chair including a punching glove for creating nausea & dizziness; until you can prove three or four months of constant flight time to build up a tolerence to aerobatics.Would probably cost too much.................nevermind..

I've had alot of fun with the Decathlon since it's release, so I thought I might pass on the Scout. That lasted 2 days. :-) For me the Scout is even MORE fun than the Dec... which makes me wonder when I'll again be flying the Dec. I thought briefly about removing it from my hardrive but decided to keep it handy for those challenges of going into postage stamp size fieids without flaps. The Decathlon is still a wonderful VFR choice. And the fact that RealAir gives a discount on the Scout for those who already own the Decathlon makes it all that much easier to add the Scout. Thanks also to Bill Womack for the Bear Gulch addon. Great place to take the Scout just to get away from it all.Cheers to Bill, Sean and Rob,Greg

I just bought the scout and flew around for a little while. Simply Amazing! The Real View is excellent, just wish I could add it to all my aircraft, esp. the Decathlon and the Siai Marchetti.

You're quite welcome, Greg, and thanks for the support!

HI Zevious,Thanks for your enthusiastic comments. Appreciated! For a developer, using new innovations in a current release inevitably gives rise to requests to apply the same to previous aircraft. While the conversions themselves are not too difficult, the distribution of them can be a nightmare, and indeed when we updated (for free ) our SF260 for FS2004, we spent many weeks servicing all our customers and spent zero time developing new aircraft. We were uncertain of the reaction to "RealView" but since the reaction has been almost entirely positive we will investigate ways in which we can retro fit it to previous aircraft, but no promises yet!Kind Regards,Rob Young - RealAir Simulations

I would like to profit of this post to ask Sean a question :At the end of the flying guide it is said that the next RealAir plane will be a Spitfire. If it's not a trade secret I would be curious to know if you are going to use handrawn graphics for the 2D and 3D panels. All World War II planes I can think of have photos based panels and I'm keen on handrawn graphics.

I also love this plane. RealAir has released an excellent product, as usual.A quick question though: I don't find the Nav2 and the DME so I imagine that there are not in the real plane. So why are there DME and Nav2 buttons in the Bendix audio control panel??Safe flightsDavid in Jerusalem

Hi David,You are right. The vast majority of Scouts rarely have more than basic avionics but we added IFR capability for the benefit of sim users. The Bendex panel will often have buttons not yet implemented -for pilots who may later wish to upgrade to additional avionics. We felt that going beyond a Nav 1, ILS capability and a handheld GPS was stretching reality and hope that most Scout users will be content with this armory of avionics.Personally I love flying the Scout VFR and using traditional navigation methods. It's good practice!Kind Regards,Rob Young - RealAir Simulations

She's a real beauty.......many thanks to all of you at RAS! That Realview is somethin' else on a dirt runway, or anything bumpy. Better fasten your seatbelts! Now I'm off to try a bit of turbulance, should be quite cool to say the least.David
