April 10, 201214 yr Author I must admit, I was thinking about that one more than once. Which addon planes do you have in mind for using it? Hey, I've found another hardware setup, allowing for the RXP soft to work on it. No, not cheap, but I like it. See? It has this two knob setup, unlike the VRInsight unit. http://www.emuteq.co...530product.html Thinking about the 337 as I fly this and the Baytown RV more than any other plane. There would be more though, but the 337 I just can't keeps my hands off it. I looked at the other hardware, but I would not consider at that price. Bob Thanks CoolP for those links I have been thinking of doing something like that. And that Steve Masters page is awesome. Now, having looked at that F1 G1000 Student thingi, It would be really good to do the G1000 hardware the way steve Masters has done with the G530. Amazing stuff. Now there are plenty of USB driven monitors instead of using the video out. I am also excited by the fact that Flight 1 Garmin could be used on a second PC. But there was not much information in how its connected to FSX. I hope it uses FSUPIC rather than the simconnect which I do not care for. I can ever get simconnect to work properly and if something goes wrong I have no idea how to debuf the problem. Wish Go Flight would simply make a hardware for the G530 and the G1000 that we could get and overlay on sone USB monitor. But this cocpit building project maybe the way to go in their absense Manny I think the Flight1 trainer uses it's own module/software. Bob Officially retired
April 10, 201214 yr I wish they would update it with the USB monitor. (I am assuming the small monitor comes with their product). OR Does anyone know if the new IvyBridge Mother boards that is coming out...if we can use the integrated video out in addition to the external video card video outs? In that case, we can use the video out from the MB for this. :) I saw the later boards coming out with chips allowing for a simultaneous operation of the inbuilt and external graphics. But maybe you should ask that in the hardware section. The boards already get sold, so you may already find some users of Z77 chipsets, but with Sandy Bridge CPUs so far. I think on the Emuteq unit, the USB is for the data connect (interacting with the gauge/sim) and the VGA is for the display data, coming from any video source. Could be the second output on your external card or that mainboard VGA signal. Thinking about the 337 as I fly this and the Baytown RV more than any other plane. I would have to finally check, but I think the 337 is very much based on default AP commands, means I can drive it that way. No info on the Baytower though, I don't have her yet.

The Baytown uses an AP system that I have never used and still getting used to it. I will let you guys know when I receive something back from Flight1 Bob Officially retired
April 10, 201214 yr I have a 19" ELO touch screen. IF I get the G1000 from F1, then I can run it on a seperate PC with that monitor. Then I would like to link the rotary to the Go flight module with rotary knobs. I wonder if that is possible. I know its not perfect, but its something. Atleast until someone comes up with a cheaper alternate for the G1000 plate with buttons and knobs. This is exciting! I have been dreaming of a real world G1000 MFD...that I could use with any aircraft.. I am not keen on the PFD... Since I prefer the steam gauge 6 pack for that. :) MAnny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
April 10, 201214 yr The Baytown uses an AP system that I have never used and still getting used to it. Right, I saw a post about the Baytower's AP detail somewhere. Could be that she is one exception from the rule in that GA segment. I'll check the C337 in a few minutes and report back. I have a 19" ELO touch screen. Would make sense.

I did not see anything about touch screen capability, but your right, they should incorporate that. I think much about added features really depends on how their sales are going. April 10, 201214 yr I can fully drive the C337 AP with the 'default plane' setup of my M-Panel. So I'd say it's based on pure FSX commands and may therefore work with any external gauge.

That's good to know Bud! Thanks much for the little test. Hopefully their software can be configure. Maybe I can get a dialogue going with them. Bob Officially retired
April 10, 201214 yr Hi Bob... Yeah... I probably should wait., In the mean time I have the F1 Citation with its G1000 that I can drag the panel into the touch screen and use that for now Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter

April 10, 201214 yr If Steve Masters could do that for the 530, he could do one for G1000 and then we can all follow him! I think I am going to start begging him! LOL :) Manny or Emuteq could do one for sub $1000. IF I were Go flight, I would do this ASAP. I am not sure why Go flight does not get into this ...a G430 or a G530 or a G1000 they could do... for the non pro market. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
