April 16, 201214 yr A little help for an old man please. I have done a nice water landing, taxied up to the landing for the memorial, opened the cockit, exited the plane (Icon) but I am stopped at that point. No matter which direction I try and go I am stopped. Your help will be appreciated. Les
April 16, 201214 yr Hi, I'm surprised you're unable to walk in any direction. Even on water you can usually go until you reach some sort of obstruction. Have you tried every direction? Jim F.
April 16, 201214 yr You cant, as far as I recall, actually walk on the landings or piers, oddly enough. You will probably need to move around and approach from another angle. April 16, 201214 yr I landed at Ford Island, taxied over to the treeline, got out and walked to the Memorial...yep, across the water.
April 16, 201214 yr Walking around is a bit odd sometimes. I frequently get stuck unexpectedly somewhere. Or sometimes there is a invisible wall where you didn't expect one. it doesn't really matter to me because I usually only fly in Flight.
April 16, 201214 yr There are certain limitations to object models, particularly when adding the invisible crash part. Without that, you could walk, or fly, right through an object, but the crash model itself has limits to its shape so that many times it is not precisely the same as the visual model. Because of that, you may be blocked by the crash model when you are not yet on top of the visual model. This is just one of the many limitations to the world of computers, a very new and still mostly undeveloped industry. We old men have seen it grow very quickly but there is still quite a long ways to go. Best regards. Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
April 16, 201214 yr You cant, as far as I recall, actually walk on the landings or piers, oddly enough. I've landed in the city, then taxied onto one of the piers. Then jumped out and walked all around with no trouble. Only got stopped when I hit an obstacle that I had to go around.
