April 17, 201214 yr Hi Folks, here's a few shots from my latest flight, Tenerife North to Santa Cruz de La Palma on Binter Canarias ATR72-500. Enjoy and for the full report please see my blog: Canary Island Hopping Vol.2: IBB 619 – TFN to SPC Perfect flying weather today in Tenerife. We're sitting at the gate and prepare the ATR for this short hop. Rush hour at TFN. Another Binter ATR just coming in for landing. The mighty Teide volcano to our left. Third highest volcano in the world (measured from its base at the ocean floor). Some air-to-air action. Flying the only approach for SPC, the NDB01. We have to come in diagonal to runway heading to avoid terrain. Also we're a little high, but the ATR is very forgiving. Why on god's earth would you use a bus to get the PAX from the aircraft to the terminal in this situation? No wonder they use wind turbines, if they drive around in cars to get their mail. Thanks for reading. Next flight(s) will be a little different. VFR in the P51D between the smaller islands.
April 17, 201214 yr good to see an ATR :) RoyalSkies.CO.UK Youtube Vidz !My website will be back soon with new paints and videos! April 18, 201214 yr Author Thanks folks! Always fun to fly a turboprop for a change. Great, Max! Is your GCXO the Sim Giants version? No, it's actually the older Simwings/Aerosoft Canary Islands scenery. Still nice, even though not top-notch.
