Now you have a reason to get Windows 8

Windows 8 is a bit weird, true, but for FS2Crew users from non-English countries who want to easily use Voice Control, Windows 8 will definitely be worth getting.

Why?

All Windows 8 versions will allow you to switch languages on the fly, so setting your Speech Recognizer to English - US will be no problem whatsoever for anyone, regardless of where they are from.

I do not understand why you have to change the language on your OS.

Why is not the English version default for all language packs? I do not know how many other languages that are being supported, if any more than English.

That would be a question to ask Microsoft.

Cheers,

Nice, but be careful. The quality wings Avro is not properly working, fsdreamteam applications don't work, and may be more.

No support is availlable yet.

PMDG is working perfect, as all the stuff from aerosoft.

It might be worth noting that I had to download and install the English (US) language pack after upgrading to Windows 8 here in the UK. In Windows 7 the US option was available by default in speech recognition, with Windows 8 it wasn't until I installed the language pack.
