April 21, 201214 yr Just put the final touches on my latest sidstar procedure file: KJFK. This will be in the AVSIM library in a day or two. The KJFK procedure file includes all published SIDs plus routes to often filed departure gates such as BAYYS, BERGH, COATE, CUTOX DIXIE GAYEL LINND NEION and RVB. All published STARs are included and routes are provided to all ILS as well as GPS13L and Visual 22L. All published approaches are provided including two Charted Visual Approaches BELMONT VIS22L and PARKWAY VIS13L/R. Also available are in the AVSIM library are: KATL KBOS KBWI KDEN KDFW KLAX KORD KSAN KSEA. For PMDG 737NG/737NGX/747-400/747-400X/MD-11FS9/MD-11FSX/BAeJS41 Dan Downs KCRP
April 21, 201214 yr Hi, Did you ever make a converter from ARINC specification navigation database to the various flight sim add ons? Thanks Dennis
April 22, 201214 yr Author I would if I could get my hands on the data without loosing an arm and a leg. Do you have a data source? Dan Downs KCRP
April 22, 201214 yr Why not get the AIRAC's monthly from Navigraph ha? Still great job! - Luke Pabari
April 22, 201214 yr Yes we can download our company data from our Flight Information Viewer.... I can't give it out to the community though. I just wanted to be able rouse it when PSX is released.
April 22, 201214 yr Author Why not get the AIRAC's monthly from Navigraph ha? Still great job! The navigraph data isn't in ARINC format, not even close; actually, this is a different subject since the syntax used in the sidstar procedures is not capable of ARINC-type of leg segments other than a few simple ones and certainly not AF or RF legs. My data comes from the source and I consider it better quality than Navigraph but they get global info and I am limited to US and territories. Dan Downs KCRP
April 22, 201214 yr Might be of use to your JFK file ;) CO204/07 DLH COMPANY NOTAM C/O/0204/07 **********FMS-INFO*********** REF FMS NAVDB NEW YORK JOHN F KENNEDY INTL/KJFK/JFK REF VECTOR SID PROCEDURES. AS A CONSEQUENCE OF NAVDATA CODING RULES AND REGULATIONS, THE RUNWAY TRANSITIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING VECTOR SIDS HAVE BEEN WITHDRAWN FROM THE FMS DATABASES EFFECTIVE CYCLE 0707:SID BETTE3,SID GREKI3,SID HAPIE3,SID MERIT3. SID JFK1 HAS BEEN REMOVED COMPLETELY DUE TO NO COMMON POINT IN DEPARTURE ROUTE AVAILABLE AND NO ENROUTE TRANSITION CONNECTION.
April 22, 201214 yr Author Thanks, I'm not familiar with what existed before 2008 when I started this sideline of my flight sim hobby; today, the DP BETTE3 and others are just a set of depature instructions for a few runways (e.g., fly 100 heading for runways 04L/R) and they leave it up to ATC to vector you to BETTE. The routes that I have encoded into this procedure file are based on the actual flight paths that I observe on flightaware.com over generous period of time. I keep it real for you by providing BETTE3 in the original published format which is for example for 04L/R fly heading 100 wait for vectors. I also provide the route based on actual flights in the BETTE3.NOATC for our simulations where we don't have an ATC. As a plug for my stuff, also notice BETTE3 provides you the GATEWAY, BREEZY, BRIDGE and CANARSIE climbouts for the respective runways that apply. I don't think anybody else is doing this. Dan Downs KCRP
April 22, 201214 yr Yeah in our company DB they removed those procedures (that's what that NOTAM is about) re you getting your ARINC database from NavTech?

Still good you're doing it! - Luke Pabari
April 23, 201214 yr Author "re you getting your ARINC database from NavTech? " i am using the FAA data from their website, in particular the NASR data for fixes and airports, the DERS data for procedures and of course the terminal charts from NACO. Dan Downs KCRP
April 23, 201214 yr Commercial Member i am using the FAA data from their website, in particular the NASR data for fixes and airports, the DERS data for procedures and of course the terminal charts from NACO. Dan, can you link that here? That would be some great data for me to have. Kyle Rodgers
April 23, 201214 yr Author Dan, can you link that here? That would be some great data for me to have. The terminal charts are here: http://aeronav.faa.gov/index.asp?xml=aeronav/applications/d_tpp The DERS data (DP, IAP and STARS and bunch of other stuff) is here: http://aeronav.faa.gov/index.asp?xml=aeronav/applications/digital/dacs The NFDC National Flight Data Center is here (you have to register): https://nfdc.faa.gov/xwiki/bin/view/NFDC/WebHome Hope that is what you were looking for. April 24, 201214 yr Commercial Member Hope that is what you were looking for. I'll have a look. Thanks Dan! I still haven't given you feedback on the BWI bit. I'll get back to ya. Kyle Rodgers
April 27, 201214 yr Hi Dan, Many thanks for all of your efforts to bring us these SID/STARs. Most appreciated.
