April 22, 201214 yr Hi everyone i just got My Traffic X pro 5.4 , the only problem is i don't know if i should uninstall my traffic x 5.2 that i have right now . I just bought this My Traffic X Pro 5.4 since its the latest or something . But i was shock that i didn't see no videos on youtube. It almost looks like people haven't herd of it o don't like it or something . If anyone knows about it please give me some reviews before i install it. An please tell me if i should uninstall my old my traffic x 5.2? April 22, 201214 yr I have MTXPro 5.4 and can't remember whether I uninstalled the previous version or not... not very helpful, sorry. I think on reflection I did a completely new install, either way it should not a be a problem... April 22, 201214 yr It is up to you whether you want to uninstall or not, I always do. You could just rename your MyTraffic folder in FSX to MyTraffic5.2 and then install 5.4. After you are satisfied that 5.4 is running okay delete the MyTraffic5.2 folder, but at this point in time do not uninstall because if you uninstall it after installing 5.4 you will screw up 5.4
April 22, 201214 yr The first thing that needs to be done before you can remove MyTraffic X is to remove it from the scenery libraries of each user that uses FSX on your computer, and to restart FSX at least once and end it before you do any further modification. Remove the line simobjectPath.n=MyTraffic\aircraft in your fsx.cfg file. Restore the original FSX soundfile (you made a copy of prior to installing MTX). Remove the MyTraffic folder in your FSX directory. Do not delete, move or rename the MyTraffic folder until you do steps one and two above. Now your are done. MyTraffic doesn't add data to the registry. If you wish, remove the entries in your start/programs folder
April 22, 201214 yr Hi I upgraded also from MTXpro 5.2 to 5.4, however I don't think I did an uninstall first but just ran the installer and everything works just fine. If you run the update from MTX Communicator you don't have to worry. BTW the program is GREAT I have no complaints at all with MTX. Bob
