Barry,I am not one that gets into this kind of stupid discussion. But on this point I can't resist.First, if you don't own the PMDG 737, you don't know what level of quality this product really is.Next, this FS community expects the highest level of realism on each release. However NO one seems to think about the time and effort people put into developing this level of realism.Second, I have had this product since its first day, and bar none, and I should know since I did the beta testing on the PIC767 which in its day was outstanding. But time and technology has passed it by, and the PMDG 737-800/900 is so far ahead of ANYTHING that I am just amazed at the people you think it is an outrage to price at PMDG current pricing.Third, most of us that have had the PMDG products prior to this release, don't mind paying for it. It is far superior to anything on the market.Fourth, those of you that think the pricing is too high, than don't buy it. I assure you it will be your loss. This is just one outstanding product. I am not part of the PMDG team, but I can tell you that NO-ONE at this point even comes close to the excellence of what I just flew for the first time today.For those of you that don't want to pay, then go play with cartoon like representations of the B737. I agree with you 110% BOB!Its people like the PMDG team that make Flightsim so much fun! I purchased the update with in hours of its release! They have done such a wonderful job! Don't you just love the TCAS etc... Ive clocked up about 6hrs in this 737-800/900 since last night! And Im just about to make my 4th flight! Everytime I load it she blows my mind! Got to the zone or what ever and when you join a game, you see all the other plays in your TCAS. Its sweet!Pete

Thanks Pete,And I thought I was "hooked", I was gong to fly my -700 back from Sacramento today,anyway today and then do NO flying until mid week. Well like you when I woke-up this morning and jumped on AVSIM with a cup of coffee, and saw the announcment that the 800/900 upgrade had been released. I forgot all my house chores today, and I am in big doo doo about that. Did the upgrade and flew back to Denver. Tomorrow right after I get the family back from church I am off to San Diego for another flight. Don't even ask how much "real" work I am NOT doing, but who cares (LOL). This thing is really good as you said.Now the truth Pete, I had to spend hours getting the TCAS to work did not RTFM correctly. On approach into Denver, still looking for the right knobs, I found the TCAS sequence and almost crashed while I was jumping with glee on the outstanding TCAS that Lee Harrington did with the PMDG team.As you said Pete, this is just outstanding. Folks that are too concern with either the price or the learning curve don't know what they are loosing out on. For us, let the good times roll brother. This is going to be our JOY.CheersBob

Pete,Forgot to add this little point. I am going to fly to KSAN with the PMDG upgrade, I am doing beta work on Radar Contact Version 4, I use ActiveSky 2004 on this flight and I am going land at KSAN with the FlyTampa San Diego scenery and it is really GOOD.Just HOW GOOD IS IT GOING TO BE. Damn I love this hobby!!!!!!Just can't get much betterBob

Pete,Turn off Render to Texture, that is what is causing that flicker. There are some cloud problems that come from this if you use DXT type clouds. Go to Chris Willis's FSW site to get a fix for that. Should have no problem after thatTime to go bed here in the States (grin)Bob
