FSAVIATOR strikes again!

Featured Replies

About 12 months ago, I asked who FSAVIATOR was. I didn't get any idea - but lots of recommendations about his work ( which I fully agree with ) . My first experience was with the FS2002 Convairs. Unfortunately I lost all these when I went to FS2004 -- but now, I have rediscovered him and his work in the AIRHEAD DECATHLON (which I got at http://www.flightfactory-simulations.com/ who are helping with hosting the a/c)This is really a fun a/c to fly and I like the explanation about the flight characteristics of this a/c.So -- the question remains unanswered -- who is this masked man? Well maybe who cares -- as long as he still keeps on giving us these great flight dynamics. Thanks to you FSAVIATOR whoever you are.Oh - yes -- the rest of the a/c is terrific too. Get it!Regards Barry

Yep he's is a real mystery. Apparently Tom Gibson communicates with him because when he posts on the Cal Classic site its always a posting by Tom, From FSAviator. The posts are always LONG and also always very educational/instructive. The guy knows his stuff and as far as I can tell, is among the best FDE creators out there. I always consider his work to be a true sign of quality and one of the things that makes me consider an aircraft as a keeper.I'd like to know who this person is as well! However apparently only Tom Gibson knows!Eric

Maybe Tom Gibson and FSAviator are one and the same.

Hi,No, I promise that I am not FSAviator. I am hopeless when it comes to flight dynamics. He does prefer to remain relatively anonymous, though.BTW, I have created FS2004 flight model updates for most of the propliners (like the Convairs) on my various aircraft pages. These are directly based on his FS2002 versions, with his permission.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

Is it a bird? Is it a 'plane? No, it's FSAviator!I know the real truth, of course. FSAviator is, in fact, Albert Einstein's illegitimate son who, as a recluse, has lived in a garret in an old castle in the North of England for decades. Rumour has it that he has a full working model of Galileo's helicopter design within those mysterious walls, but doesn't want to draw attention to himself by flying it.Whoever he is, his airfiles are the business, and Tom hosts the best of them! And yes, he's done a great job with that Decathlon too. Thanks, sire.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg

>Tom...>>Suuurre...your NOT FSAviator...>>Reminds me of Superman and Clark Kent...or Janet Jackson and>Michael Jackson...you never see them together....but you know>they are the same!>>:-)>>Eric>Hands up - everybody who thinks Tom Gibson is FSAVIATOR??? :)Barry

"No, I promise that I am not FSAviator. I am hopeless when itcomes to flight dynamics" ok ;)"BTW, "I" have created FS2004 flight model updates for most ofthe propliners " LOL ;)Hmmm, me thinks that Tom is FSaviator LOL, he is certainly the superhero of the FS world.Marvel comics take note, we have a new superhero, by day he is mild mannered Tom Gibson, but at night the miraculous transformation takes place, into , dun dun dun, FSAVIATOR, FLIGHT DYNAMICS MAN, no plane is safe from his magic touch LOL.Dan.

I am lucky enough to know the real, real truth, but I'd have to kill you if I told you. Don't want to do that, Avsim would lock the post if we got blood everywhere. But I can tell you that, despite his obvious talent, Tom Gibson is NOT FSAviator.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg

hehehe, I love a good mystery ;).But why all the secracy?, sure is fun guessing. Are you FSAviator Mark? LOLDan.

I think it's better if we don't know. I kind of like the superhero secret identity thing. It gives his work a real mystique. As the masked man, he can create in secrecy and not have people hound him about tweaks, special projects, and all the trappings that come with fame.By the way, I hope it's a guy, because I keep referring to him as "him."

Yeah...and theres no Area 51...No Aurora spy plane, no Roswell incident...no second gun on the grassy knoll.... yeah sure.Alt.conspiracy here I come!!!Eric

Hi,LOL! I didn't see the irony in those statements until now. FSAviator guided me, step by step, on the technique to use to convert them to FS2004. He was out of time to do it and they end up not quite as accurate as they did in FS2002, so that's why he wanted me to put my name on them. Creating new and totally accurate flight models would take many hours each, which is out of the question. And even so, 99% of the users will never notice the difference (I don't).Yes, he's a guy. Yes, he's a real person. And he knows more about aircraft, aviation history, and flight dynamics than I will ever learn. BTW, I had never even heard of a Decathalon before reading this thread. However, just like Clark Kent, the more I deny it, the more it appears I am covering up... :)Take care,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

LMAO, this thread is giving me , and the whole forums, some much need light relief.Who ever it is, you, he, she are doing a marvellous job on some flight dynamics!!!!Dan.
