April 26, 200422 yr Seeings how I can't access the Eagle soft forum, I'll post here. I just need help on a couple different issues. I've read the manual but I still can't find all the aircraft light switches. Another thing, I can barley read the switches in both 2d and 3d cockpits. Any way to fix that? Maybe a different driver? Any help would be great, this is an excellent product, takes a bit of learning, but is a blast when you figure it out. Thanks.
April 26, 200422 yr Hello:If you go to the "TILT PANEL" section of the manual you will see on the "LEFT" tilt panel the "FUEL AND LIGHTS PANEL". Those four(4) rotary knobs are for the interior lights. See the manual for each ones use and what to do if they don't seem to be working. The FLOOD is a two position switch and the others are three position. I suggest you play with them at dusk or dawn so you can see the effects and still see what you are doing. The exterior lights are on the "RIGHT" tilt panel. Again the manual explains their use very well. The Landing and Taxi Lights are on the "CONSOLE" just behind the Throttle Levers. When the Throttles are at idle you can't see them in the 2D mode, but you can in the Virtual mode. I recommend you advance the throttles a little before you turn the lights on or off because if you cilck too close to the throttle levers the engines will shut down.Give it another try, I'm sure you will get it.As far as your not being able to read the panel switches I can't help you. My panel is crystal clear in 2D and readable in 3D. Is this the only panel you have this problem with? maxsdad
April 26, 200422 yr Well none of the panels except the Vans RV-7 are crystal clear to me, it's only the words, other parts of panel are easy to see, and clear. Perhaps it's my Geforce FX 5200. Oh-well, I can read them well enough to use them. Thanks for the help.
April 27, 200422 yr Hey Ty89m,In the defense of other developers, keep in mind that there is a whole lot more information on more complex panels than there is on the RV-7, so we had it relatively easy when making everything readable. When you have to pack up a lot of stuff, there is hardly any other way to go about that but to decrease their sizes. That being said, there are different techniques which can be employed to improve readability, and we are devoting a lot of time on that for our upcoming Saab. In not too long you will be able to see what we accomplished and be able to judge for yourself.
April 27, 200422 yr I find the CitX and Beechjet to be a bit fuzzy by comparison to the likes of PMDG 737NG for comparison sakes. There is quite clearly less pixel density in the glass cockpit lines n circles and also in the panel artwork in the Eaglesoft products, and I don't care for it. Looks crude by today's standards. Likewise, the choice of colors of text, FMC, other lines etc in the panel are not my fav, though that may be a function of being closer to the real thing. Otherwise, it's a very decent package, the CitX that is. Still, I would like as crystal clear gauges and panel art as is possible. If the PMDG 737NG is a 10 (which I dare say is not!), then I would put the Eaglesoft bizjets interiors as a 7.4.I have both the CitX and the Beechjet. April 27, 200422 yr Windows XP? Do you have clear type enabled? Just wondering if some OS effects have any effect on the display of fonts in FS.... [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
April 28, 200422 yr Author Thanks Fabio, Just an FYI to users everywhere....we are quite aware of the issues noted and have been actively working on a number of techniques to provide the higher quality that we all want to see:-)Some of the techniques look very promising indeed:-)
