did i miss something??

I don't remember at the Flight launch any mention of Warbirds over Hawaii theme. In the run up to launch was there a blog or article mentioning that the DLC was themed.if that was the case why put the Maule or any of the other aircraft out there first.they are not part of the warbirds theme.

now cynical as it may seem i reckon Ms has come up with this warbirds Theme because of all the complaints about these cockpitless warbirds.

as for recreating the attack on pearl harbour ...I nearly fell out of my chair.

I was shouting Dagga Dagga and making boom bang noises, alas i didn't shoot down anyone.silly me i forgot the guns don't work......

at least we are near to the end and i can see Alaska DLC getting nearer.

The theme of Hawaii for the overtime release of DLC is "Warbirds in Hawaii". The Maule and RV6A were part of the original release. The Maule is the cargo aircraft and the RV6A is the free plane included in the Hawaii Adventure Pack. The Icon A5 is just to attract the casual gamer. It is simple, and easy to fly.

To summarize, the DLC theme for Hawaii is "Warbirds in Hawaii". It will change when Alaska is released. Unfortunately, I cannot explain why all the Warbird DLC has no cockpit. If I get more information, I will notify.

In my opinion its just obvious. Making cockpit & modeling all gauges and stuff for it takes much more time than making just outside model, and probably even with cockpit price would still have to be kept quite low to actually make new audience to buy those things to do some fun flying around.

So they probably chose just to save time and sell flyable outside 3d models with a bit lower price.

Decisions like that are a kind of weakness, though. Even as I admire the technical achievements of the updated/new graphics engine. I am aware of obvious shortcuts which are likely due to time and budget constraints. I think this puts flight at a disadvantage if other software appears on the scene with the same market as a target. Flights heavy reliance on legacy assets might make it difficult for the game to compete in the looks department with other modern releases.

The stutter-y multiplayer implementation also needs to be addressed.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

Unless someone wants to bomb the Arizona memorial, oh, wait, you can't drop bomb or destroy building by crashing, can't you?
