Saitek Pro throttle

Featured Replies

Hi

I know there was a lot of posting here regarding this issue but I was unable to find the right one after several hours of searching. I had to re-install my PC due to Wind7 crash and after that I found this issue. I was trying to assign two levers for two engines and it did not work right (I followed saitek instructions). It spool up one engine rapidly to full thrust and the other gets stuck half way behind. I then was trying to assign both engines to one lever and it works but thrust spools up faster than I can blink. So I am unable to make it smooth. I do not have registered FSUIPC and I do not use Saitek editor (can't figure out how to work with that, sorry). Any help is appreciated.

Have a nice weekends.

Do yourself a favour and register FSUIPC and run all the controls through that, Dont use any inbuilt FSX axis controls.

I use FSUIPC for elevator, aileron, rudder, Lt/Rt_Brakes, steering tiller. I have set up independant throttles with reverse thrust detents. (A lot easier than the saitek software)

I have only just done this myself and I wish I had done it 10yrs ago, my flight experience/control response has shot up 500%, its hard to describe and I wouldnt have believed the improvement had I not done it.

I am yet still learning to setup the buttons and mouse macros through FSUIPC.

I can help you setup the axis's to get you started.

Hi Everyone,

Chris,

I do have 2 of my Saitek Throttle quadrant set up as reverser 1 and 2. I've done this through registered FSUIPC. I have 2 Saitek throttle quadrant set up through FSUIPC which gives me 6 levers configured as follow:

1 lever for speed break

1 lever for Throttle 1

1 lever for reverser 1

1 lever for reverser 2

1 lever for throttle 2

1 lever for flaps

This configuration works very well for all aircrafts including the NGX but the only drawback I have with the NGX is that after landing I have to move 2 or three times the 2 throttle levers to get them to the idle position before getting the reversers to work. I have this problem only with the NGX. With the feel there airbus for example I don't have this problem.

Cheers,

Nizar.

David. Thank you. I will probably buy FSUIPC today. I have heard enough about registered FSUIPC, I think it's time for me too.

Hi Luke. For some reason I was able to assign throttle as Rotation, not Axis whatever I've tried. Will it make any big difference?

It is definitely a time to buy registered version of FSUIPC, otherwise your hands are tight. Thank you guys for help. I hope my little brain will be able to figure how to use it

Enjoy the rest of weekend.
