May 16, 201214 yr Is anyone planning to fill the void in the market with a decent '727'? This classic holds a good memory for me. Shame that Dreamfleet didn't fulfil their promise. Thier FS2002-2004 version was as good as it get's. Dave Taylor
May 16, 201214 yr You could always try the captain sim version http://www.captainsim.com/products/x727/ I know the CS products might not off such fidelity as PMDG, but then, who does? Jack Cannon
May 16, 201214 yr When purchased at the sales, that thing is at 10 Euros. Like stealing! Needs a bit of tweaking though, but we've summed up the necessary mods in the forums. http://www.captainsim.org/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1319547655
May 17, 201214 yr Good thing I was browsing around Avsim--I never came across those mods on the CS forums. How many of the mods do I need? Are any of those gauge ones necessary? -Bram Osterhout
May 17, 201214 yr Short answer would be 'none' as she's flying and working fine right out of the box. Longer answers are below. Get the INS mod if you like that cryptic gauge and want to advance from the VOR to VOR usage or the too simple GPS ways. The sound fix (which isn't a fix per se, more of a workaround) can happen in two ways. The first one uses the 707 sound gauge, the second one adds things to the default 727 config files. Both things work around the missing cockpit sounds on the first initialization of the plane. The extra NAV/GPS button on the AP is for the folks looking for a way to use the default FSX GPS with the AP. The gauge mods by Matt Smith. Erm, I have to look closer on that one. He started with the mods on 2.2, then 2.3 fixed some and 2.4 some more. So I think it's redundant on many issues. I will change the text. DME gauge switching. It's neat when you want to have DME1 und 2 together. Pressurization fix. If you are spoiled by the wonky default system in the 727. Flight model mod. I tip if you want to fly the numbers and use the free docs coming with the mod or being available at Avsim.

Agree, and thanks for some of the other mods, which I was not aware of all the ones you mentioned.
