May 18, 201214 yr Hi everyone I have a problem with my flaps bieng stuck at 25degrees. At first i thought it was due to me approaching my 250hr mandatory service and the fact that i have auto failures on, but i have subsequently cleared that (applied the maintenance early) without avail. If i use alternate flaps i can get them up but the forward slats stay down and as soon as i close the alternate flaps protective swith ( i.e. disengage them) the flaps return to 25 deg. The flap leaver which is fully down does not budge, either with joystick or button commands. Any assistance would be appreciated. May 18, 201214 yr Did you check for hydraulic system failures? Worse case have you tried turning off failures? George Morris
May 18, 201214 yr That is strange. I do know that flaps will not extend to 40 degrees when flying too fast, and will auto retract back to 30 if speed increases too much. Never heard of your one though. Thanks Matthew T Gardiner
May 18, 201214 yr declare an emergency and land at the nearest location and reset everything. then t/o again with no passengers and little fuel and do a flight test circuit to see if its fixed Max PMDG 747X & 737NGX Pilot
May 20, 201214 yr ThE NG has a flap load protection if lever is set to 30° and the speed is too high. Test your system on ground or in air respecting placard speeds (aircraft limits). It will work. The alternate system is working correctly. WhEn you are in alternate mode, the flap lever will be disregarded, however, when you put back to normal the system will be commanded again by the flap lever, and in your case the lever is not Up so will never retract the slats unless you will put the flaps up.
