May 21, 201214 yr I kinda hate to say it... but in my observation of the people I see in multiplayer, the vast overwhelming majority of them could not care less about those things... They're interested in being fliers... not pilots. I do hope that's not considered a means for indicating where to from here. In my experience, based on that criteria, modelling winds is a waste of time - just have three levels of turbulence, and runways are barely worth the effort because only half the people use them (often with no thought to the wind...). May 21, 201214 yr and runways are barely worth the effort because only half the people use them (often with no thought to the wind...). Sadly, I was only half-way joking when I said previously that "if airplanes don't need cockpits, then airports don't need runways, so they can save some time and money on scenery development by leaving those out."
May 21, 201214 yr What they want to do in their heart of hearts to get this Sim to succeed, and what they are actually allowed to do by Corporate may not have much to do with one another. Teams can be smart. Corporate is almost always dumb. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically. Someone needs to throw out "marketing research" because it only paints a very narrow photo of what flight simming is and what people want. I dont think a lot of people who will buy a cockpitless aircraft will stick with the game for the long run. It may get you a lot of sales initially, but that well will dry up FAST. May 21, 201214 yr I think it's pretty clear that those actually building Flight are producing exceptional work. It's amazing what the Team has accomplished, in spite of the direction they have seemingly been given. There is virtually nothing I can point to as having been done wrong. There are simply things they were not allowed, by time, funding, or design, to do.
May 22, 201214 yr Camera adjustments for zoom level, along with position and viewing angle. Trim tab controls. Thank you, didn't even know that section of the site existed :)
May 22, 201214 yr To go back to the Alaska DLC topic, I guess our next hope to hear more about it will be at E3, 2 weeks from now.
