Big issues with 1.4

Featured Replies

Hey Bryan I never had any problems with fs2crew until 1.4, when I first fire it up there is an audible warning saying it can't connect to the sdk, (thats a bad sign :)) it then continues to some what function, but when doing any sort of check lists it keeps saying are you sure about that?, during the engine start it says its not configured properly (and it is not) if I say set heading XXX it just keeps spinning around. I have completely uninstalled, re installed both the pmdg 1C patches then installed 1.4 again, these issues remain.

Hi Ian,

All that is attributable to the SDK warning message you got.

Basically FS2Crew can't 'read' data out of the plane, and it all goes downhill from here as you experienced.

To resolve the SDK issue, do this:

1. Don't use saved flights (sometimes they mess things up, sometimes not).

2. Ensure the NGX loads by default into the 2D cockpit.

3. Try re-installing SP1C from PMDG.

4. Try re-installing FS2Crew.

5. Lastly, it appears some liveries can run interference with the SDK, and you can learn more about that by reading this thread:

http://forum.avsim.net/topic/371342-sdk/page__p__2347997__hl__options.ini#entry2347997

Pay close attention in that thread to the part about Liveries and the 'options.ini'

Cheers,

Thanks Bryan I read your remark about the entry sdk enablebroadcasts=1, my options ini did not have that entry in it, I added it and all my issues are resolved.

Hmm, I was thinking that. The 737options ini is a different kettle of fish.

I had the same problem last night.

I re-installed FS2Crew but did not get a chance to try it afterwards. Will give it a go this evening and see what it does.
