May 14, 200422 yr Steve,I don't know what happened but I posted a reply earlier but it doesn't appear :-hmmm I have the CIVA INS set up in the 742 Ready for Pushback so if you still have problems with installing it after you get Andrew's panel.cfg file, email me.If you have Roger Wilco installed I may be able to help via voice.Rgds
May 15, 200422 yr Hi Vulcan,I have it now thank's. I didn't realise I had to copy the panel .cfg from the CD to ALL the folders marked panel, all I have got to do now is spend the next couple of weeks reading up on how the INS works...lolSteve
May 15, 200422 yr Well thankk you!Could someone here post more screenshots about this concorde? I never buy the cat in the bag.Because I will never by any aircraft from PSS again, I will as well not buy there concord if it ever get released. Based uppon there support what never helpt me and because they never released a working Airbus what could work on my system (but PMDG and DF all work well) Regards, Torben Hadler
May 15, 200422 yr Excellent news Steve. One thing, you won't be bored flying with the old style INS as it only accepts 9 waypoints :-)I had hoped that the triple CIVA unit could be daisy-chained to allow 27 waypoints but not so.A tip from the 742/CIVA forums if you have more than 9 waypoints.Print out your navlog with LAT/LON co-ords of your waypoints and then mark on it the last waypoint you entered into the INS, that way you know where to continue from as you enter waypoints beyond number 9. (In fact your first batch only go as far as waypoint 8 as they suggest your first waypoint should be your start position)Pay particular heed to having the plane sationary before attempting anything with the INS.If you have the engines running, even with the parking brake on the plane can creep and you will get errors on the INS.On the RfP 742 even if you have engines shut down and parking brake on the plane can still creep enough to cause the errors, as I found out :-) You need to switch on the hydraulic pump to provide brake pressure for the parking brake, this may be peculiar to the RfP 742 but it is worth brearing in mind if you get errors on the INS.Read the CIVA docs and do a number of cold run throughs to get the hang of the thing.I have still to fully master the INS updating and checking procedure and then I have a flight from KSFO back home to do :-)Want to do it on line in one go but might chicken out and do KSFO-KBOS-EGCC ;-)
