FSX Lights Aren't Working

Featured Replies

I have encountered a strange issue.

Nav, strobe, landing and becon lights across both default and add-on aircraft have stopped working completely. Some add-ons, 737NGX, for example, works fine. However, there are still some issues with the dome lights not working either.

Can any suggest why this might be the case. My add-ons are listed below, but I can't imagine any of them effect it.

Whilst I appreciate it it's not a major issue, it is nothing short of an annoyance.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Are landing lights checked on in the FSX menu? If they are not checked on they wont work for any a/c that use the regular style landing lights, thats why they still work in the NGX since it uses a different style of lights.

Yes, I have that ticked, but still not working.

I'm guessing a complete reinstall of FSX is probably required, but I'm saving that as a last resort.

Does anyone else have any ideas?

I have having similar issues with some lights. RWY lights at FSDTs KLAS are so dim they are barely noticable as well as some default aircraft. I still haven't found out what I did to cause it. I think I tweaked the lights 1 to many times, but tried replacing the halo files, etc., and still no luck. Stobes work fine it's just landing lights are super dim, etc.

Yes! I have the same problem. However, I've not tweaked any of the lights, nor have I installed 3DShockwave's lights. I've only installed repeatable add-ons, so I have no idea what's caused it.

I have the same problem...

Curiously the landing/taxi lights works very dim only during dusk or dawn.

Lights don't work anymore during night !!!
