CPFlight MCP-EFIS and the NGX

Recommended Posts

Hey there guys -- I finally bit the bullet and have now received my CP Flight MCP EL, EFIS PRO, and a NAV radio.

It was so extremely easy to setup, I got everything running within 5 minutes!

I have a question about the MCP and the cold and dark status -- even with the battery on the overhead turned off, the MCP still remains lit and not in a dark state.

I have turned the the battery function to 'on' in the MCP configuration using the C/O button and I am on firmware 103.

Does anyone else have this issue?

Well, figured it out -- looks like the MCP gets confused if you change states using the CDU, if cold and dark is the default state, it works fine.

Noticed one strange issue -- backlighting only turns on if the engines are running...
