June 17, 201213 yr When I start FSX the time is always set to UTC+8 hours. What do I change so that the default is just UTC? June 17, 201213 yr Probably not a good solution, but you could change your pc clock to UTC and set FSX to match PC time in the settings. :P AJ Pongress
June 17, 201213 yr Commercial Member There's bugs in FSX's timezones and stuff like that - I don't think it's fixable. I always have to set mine back an hour from the actual GMT-7 that I live in too. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com

I thought I was the only one with that problem haha. Dave Wegner - Don't be afraid of common sense or the search function.
June 17, 201213 yr You can buy FSRealTime. But for me, if I'm flying in Central Time which is where I live, all I do is click Time then Reset then OK. Idk why, but if I cross a time zone FSX will actually UPDATE my time. So if I'm going to Miami, and it's 1PM when I live, when I cross the Central Time line, my NGX's clock updates to 2PM. i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
June 17, 201213 yr When I start FSX the time is always set to UTC+8 hours. What do I change so that the default is just UTC? Presumably you have your default flight at Friday Harbor? FSX will assume Friday Harbor is your local time zone. The solution is to create a new default flight at an airport in your own time zone. FSX time behaves reasonably well if you do that.

I've always done as Kevin described and have never had a problem with time in FSX. My default flight starts at Kastrup airport - EKCH (I'm from Denmark). Kind regards Peter
June 18, 201213 yr Same here, my base is LPPT and when i change airport, the local time there will always be accurate. June 18, 201213 yr Author Many thanks for your replies. Kevin H is quite correct. Set my default location to EGLL and the time is correctly set to UTC for the winter and UTC+1 for the summer. June 19, 201213 yr I have made a guide (the text is in danish, but the pictures are from an english FSX) of how to change the location and make a new default flight. You can find it at: http://wolfsfsx.blogspot.dk/2012/06/har-du-problemer-med-utc-tid-i-fsx.html Kind regards Peter
