Captain Sim 727...

Bob,I completely agree with your positives and negatives! Well explained! I was curious, however, if you would mind sharing your FDE fix? If you don't give it out, that's ok, but I would really love to have a beautiful 727 external model whose flight model is equally impressive. Thanks! [email protected] yeah, one more thing... I'd love to talk with you about your FS2002 to FS2004 FDE conversion post from a while ago. It was a great post but I'm not sure if it's supposed to work with jets or not as it seems to have no effect.

I'd also be interested in the updated fde for the cs 727!email is: [email protected]

Regrettably, no, I can't share this one. In the interest of saving time (I find myself spending far too much time tweaking rather than flying) I've used the work of several other flight model designers to patch together an acceptable 727 air/config file that works with the CS 727. Also, the modded FDE isn't very usable without my engine instrumentation. My gauges are a combination of my own gauge internals on top of gauge bitmaps extracted from several freeware gauges to save time.To make an update releasable, I'd need to do a lot more original work on the FDE and design my own gauge bitmaps. I don't see that happening...I'm just not fond enough of this add-on to make that kind of effort. I do wish Captain Sim was, though.CheersBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Washington, DC

Hi,I am satisfied with the flight model, except during landings. I made the modifications below to the aircraft.cfg (not my modification proposal but by "Spilot", i believe). AT least now, the airplane is landing nose a little up at the given speeds. In any case for me is the three holer of CS the best.hm[Flaps.0]type= 1span-outboard= 0.800extending-time= 20.000system_type= 1damaging-speed= 250.000blowout-speed= 300.000lift_scalar=0.700drag_scalar=0.600pitch_scalar=0.700flaps-position.0= 0.000, 0.000flaps-position.1= 2.000, 0.000flaps-position.2= 5.000, 0.000flaps-position.3= 15.000, 0.000flaps-position.4= 25.000, 0.000flaps-position.5= 30.000, 0.000flaps-position.6= 40.000, 0.000[Flaps.1]type= 1span-outboard= 0.800extending-time= 20.000system_type= 1damaging-speed= 250.000blowout-speed= 300.000lift_scalar=0.700drag_scalar=0.600pitch_scalar=0.700flaps-position.0= 0.000, 0.000flaps-position.1= 2.000, 0.000flaps-position.2= 5.000, 0.000flaps-position.3= 15.000, 0.000flaps-position.4= 25.000, 0.000flaps-position.5= 30.000, 0.000flaps-position.6= 40.000, 0.000[Flaps.2]type= 2span-outboard= 0.800extending-time= 5.000system_type= 1damaging-speed= 250.000blowout-speed= 300.000lift_scalar=0.700drag_scalar=0.400pitch_scalar=0.700flaps-position.0= 0.000, 0.000flaps-position.1= 0.000, 0.000flaps-position.2= 1.000, 0.000flaps-position.3= 1.000, 0.000flaps-position.4= 1.000, 0.000flaps-position.5= 1.000, 0.000flaps-position.6= 1.000, 0.000[Flaps.3]type= 2span-outboard= 0.800extending-time= 5.000system_type= 1damaging-speed= 250.000blowout-speed= 300.000lift_scalar=0.700drag_scalar=0.300pitch_scalar=0.700flaps-position.0= 0.000, 0.000flaps-position.1= 1.000, 0.000flaps-position.2= 1.000, 0.000flaps-position.3= 1.000, 0.000flaps-position.4= 1.000, 0.000flaps-position.5= 1.000, 0.000flaps-position.6= 1.000, 0.000

>There are both strong positives and negatives to the CS 727.>>On the positive side, they've done an interesting and unique>job in depicting the cockpit, including the FE panel, as it>would be viewed from the pilots seat.
