June 22, 201213 yr Haha, just got another coffee! Who needs work! Go on folks. For me it is absolutely comprehensible that people are talking about Flight and FSX in both forums. As so many people are bahing against Flight, it is only fair to let people write about their experiences with FSX. What I notice is that the bashing against Flight is decreasing from day to day. For me Flight with its smoothness is stunning every time i fire it up.
June 22, 201213 yr Commercial Member What I notice is that the bashing against Flight is decreasing from day to day. Yeah people get tired of it as they find how it makes really no difference at all. What would make me to buy DLCs for Flight and get all out of it would be Papua New Guinea pack. It is amazing place for bush flying just like Alaska, been flying there with FSX & some great bush flying airplanes and scenery pack. Also I like it because its tropical, maybe because I am myself living in cold place I like to fly all my time in tropical areas and rarely in cold ones.
June 22, 201213 yr PNG would be awesome. One way strips dropping off to the valley floor below, and where you have to gas it on landing to get to the top of the hill to park. Humidity meaning the clouds come and go... or just plain hang around. And many planes suitable for Alaska fit there too. What do you reckon the chances are..? Mike Dryden
June 22, 201213 yr When I see a post disparaging one sim in favor of another, I just skip over the post and look for something a little more interesting. PNG would be awesome Yes, PNG! Fane is my favorite approach there.
June 22, 201213 yr Boy, you are away for ONE day... :Waiting:  Anyway, jcomm, don't ever stop indeed.
June 22, 201213 yr I have never had performance issues or CTDs or other issues with FSX. I find performance in Flight only slightly better than my FSX. Hi Mike, with all respect to performance, somebody with decent FSX performance probably isn't in the best position to comment. I've always bought fairly reasonable if not the best hardware and I've always struggled to get decent FSX performance even today. Flight was execeptional out the box and has performed flawlessly with regards to performance. Cheers, Dave.
June 26, 201213 yr I think what a lot of people forget is that FSX is good now (on the right rig with the right tweaks), after what, close to six years of user mods, 2 service packs and a lot of focus from the community to get a lot of people's favorite planes in? If you compare what FSX was as a base install with Flight the improvements are amazing. I actually find it funny to read the complaints about all the "bugs" and "install problems" with Flight after living with the FSX gremlins for years now; the software is almost bullet proof now compared to what I have used over the last 15+ years. My only gripe with Flight at all is that I want more from it because I see the huge potential it has, it's tough to be patient :) I hope they get FSUIPC4 as an option soon, being able to use all my gauges and panels would really make Flight something special.
