Show FPS

Featured Replies

Hi,

I would like to see the current frame rates so I can check if I've improved my setup.

Normally I would just press ctrl+z but that seems to have been set to something else.

How do I create a new hot key for FPS?

I can see there is a standard.xml file in fsx\Controls and it contains sections for each key assignment, but I do not know the tag to use for FPS. eg:- tag for key CTRL+Z is AP_ALT_HOLD

By default its set to Shift + Z, not CTRL + Z.

Have you tried Shift + Z to see if that works?

Either what Sean has suggested, or FRAPS.

ENB also has a built in FPS counter but for the life of me cant remember what the key strokes are. I have accidentally turn in on by accident and couldn't figure out how to turn if off since I couldn't decipher the key stroke log in the .ini, lol. Ended up having to fly the entire flight with the big green FPS displayed and once I landed had to reboot FSX to get rid of it.
