July 4, 201213 yr Question: Does GMap with World Nav Data work on the popup window with MS FLIGHT? I have emailled [email protected] suggesting that they support the FsWidgets project. This would certainly benefit MS FLIGHT, turning it into an even more tempting flight simulation platform, and allowing for those interested in using Gmap a better use of the simulator itself, while not compromising MS's plans to restrict 3pd devlopment. Yes, World Nav Data works with the free GMap version, so also with the 'popup'. It would be nice if MS would support GMap, but I doubt they will do that. Problem with MS not officially supporting GMap is that, just as with the last update, GMap might stop working suddenly because of a change MS has made. Up to now FSWidgets has been quick with fixes though/ Still, without MS support there isn't a guarantuee that GMap will always work. Obviously I know nothing about programming...

Yes Jeroen, that's true, and I sent [email protected] a request for support of the FSWidgets project. Projects like these, that do not really compromise the products MS might sell for MS FLIGHT should really be supported and would contribute to make MS FLIGHT more popular among the flightsim community... Is there one with a later date and version and if so exectly how did you guys find it. The gmap forum was mentioned but it not on the gmap site. Any help would be appreciated. Alasks is very had to navigate without something like GMap.

July 4, 201213 yr Thanks for the forum pointer. I have been trying to connect while I meander up the lower end of Alaska one airport at a time. I saw a lot chatter in the forums about GMap not connecting in that area. I will try it at anchorage. Brian
