Dear FS2Crew team,

i purchased THe SPecial bundle pack about one Week ago.

and i must say i really enjoyed your product so far, it's a great addition to the NGX.

 

There is just a small problem that really confused me.

After installing FS2Crew for the NGX i reinstalled the NGX SP c and aktivated Voice Control version, i also made al the settings required for the usage of FS2Crew ( start in 2D panel ...)

But after adding a few liveries ( A TUIFly livery for example) and editing some settings in the NGX FMC ( for example changing of the transition alt from FL180 to FL100 and choosing the Collins AP)

the SDK failed to launch every time. the FO was not able to set values on the MCP anymore and some other things also went wrong, ( engine startup wasn't possible ,FO always said that the aircraft would not be configured in the right way [ i crosschecked configuration and aircraft state multiple times] )

Only a reinstallation of the NGX (with deleting of all liveries/ panel settings -> clean install. ) and the Bundle Pack could solve the problem so far.

So now my question is : How can i change things in the PMDG NGX setup ( in FMC) and add new liveries with other configurations and still be able to use FS2Crew ?

Because just flying the clean install. with standart PMDG livery is way to boring !

Hello David. Bryan will probably have some additional advice but I can tell you from my own experience that there are a few addon liveries out there which conflict with the NGX as well as other PMDG aircraft. Some affected the SDK directly and others left me with dark gauges or even a CTD. Once that happened the only recourse was a clean reinstall, unfortunately. What I do now is install the livery only, run a test flight (twice), then make any changes to the options. So far, so good. No more issues. Hope this helps and, as I said, Bryan will have some additional insight I'm sure. Customer service with FS2 is unmatched. Happy flying.

You can install any pre SP1c livery, all you need to do is delete the livery options.ini and let the NGX rebuild a new one. No need to permanently delete a livery. This has been discussed on this forum.

 

1: Delete livery option.ini

 

2: Let the NGX rebuild a new one. ( you will need to set up your options via the FMC, but that is easy).

 

3:DO NOT DELETE 737options.ini

 

Only reinstall if above does not work

The problem now appears in multiplayer every time

Yes you can. If you also have a problem in multi player, you may need to check your simconnect is not broken

Try "reloading/ resetting" the flight if you get a SDK error message via the FS menu bar.

 

The NGX SDK and Simconnect can be a bit funky. We're finding that in some case Simconnect functions properly on the "alternate" load.

Hi, i have sometimes the same SDK error; i want to delete the livery option file but i can't find a file called livery option, you mean the .ini file each one called withe the livery name? example i have, in the folder aircraft in the main folder PMDG 737NGX, files like: D-ABKU.ini D-AHXJ.ini

 

I have to delete all that files??
