Active Sky 2012 - settings

Featured Replies

Well, welcome to Avsim, Delion. I guess the thing puzzling us guys is the topic of the thread and your wish for some browser settings. I wished I could help you with those settings, but I don't have a clue.

Delion, this forum is for flight simulation. In fact, this entire website is for flight simulation. Stop derailing conversations with irrelevent personal requests.

If you need help with your mobile browser settings, you're obviously aware of Google since you use their webmail.

Use it.

What settings do you guys use in the clouds options for the most realistic visuals?

I made it really complicated, lol.

I use HDEv2 for the sunrise, day time, and sunset sky. AS2012 for the night time "Dark" sky, FEX Chew test for the Cumulous clouds, and REX for the Cirrus clouds. Topped off by a custom ENB lightmap created by one of the guys over at the REX forum.

However, I prefer AS2012 for the weather generation, mainly due to its speed to load, historical weather, and the ease in which I can make a flight plan in FSBuild then import it into AS2012.

No reason you cant mix and match sky and cloud sets from different products until you get an environment that looks either realistic or whatever else suites your taste. It's taken me over a year to find the right combination of all of these before I finally found all the combinations that look about as realistic as I can make it for a desk top sim.
