July 17, 201213 yr I wonder how a i7 990X Extreme Edition Processor 3.46 GHz 6 Core LGA 1366 compares to what you have, im getting a bad feeling I just paid way too much for this processor...$783 You just paid the same as a complete upgrade to Ivy Bridge would cost you: I7 3770K, ASUS P8Z77-V and 8Gb fast RAM. All this for about $700........... Michael Gadeberg
July 17, 201213 yr You guys are making me doubt my new CPU that I ordered...... Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Don't worry.. the 3570 is fine. the small cache increase of the 3770 costs $120. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter

July 21, 201213 yr The DX2/66 was my first PC with windows. I had Spectrum ZX before that, but didn't really do much with it... except "fly" for the first time. It was some flight simulation flying from A -> B and landing, the thing was loading from the cassette! Oh man, those were the days! I (actually my grandpa back then) paid 1500 DM (Deutsch Marks, would be about 800€ I think) for my first computer (DX2/66, 4MB RAM and I think it was 250MB HDD, and some graphic card, don't really remember, something with S3 I believe...) including monitor. Still brings the grin on my face. But jeez... OP, sorry for going this much off topic.
