Question RE: Eaglesoft Biz Jets

"Some savvy users alter the config files for their own view preferences. We always opt for the average user views:-)"Yep--it's easy enough to ajust views in the V/C to suit any desired perspective, so simmers shouldn't view a V/C perspective as "written in stone". MSFS has built in commands to shift the viewpoint up/down, right/left, and fore/aft. And it has built in commands to shift the view angle up or down, and left or right. Add to that being able to adjust the field of view(zoom), and you have the means to customize any V/C view to anything you want. With these commands, any aircraft with a V/C has an adjustable seat a Porsche owner would envy. There's also a number of options available with the "eyepoint" entry in the aircraft.cfg, and "view" entry in the panel.cfg-John

Hello All,I have to admit, I have the X and it has to be one of the most enjoyable aircraft in my hanger.Excellently rendered, nice features, espicially the 3 different versions to match just about anyone's computer. The VC is a tad of a frame hog, but most VC's are that way and you get to expect that. A really great job put together by people who obviously listen to what the flightsimming public wanted.Kudos!!!Best to all,Clayton T. DopkeMajor, USAF (retired)"Drac"

>Ron,>I live just west of Indy, off I-74. I went to school at KIND,>and worked at KIND for a year and a half. One of the>corporate hangars by the Signature ramp is home to an X that>you can spot daily in/out of the hangar on the east side of>the airport as you go by the airport on 465. Have you>happened to go by KIND on I-70 lately? They've started work>on the new mid-field terminal, but have to complete the new>tower first. It's 300 feet tall! Gonna be a great airport>when it's finished, though, it already is. Yup, Flew out of there for Orlando 3 weeks ago, lots of construction near the I 70/465 intersection:-) The new Tower looks huge:-)

To add to the good words form the others here: I have the BJ400 and the Hawker. I bought them in a plane-buying fever, without thinking that they are the same airplane. That was a blessing in disguise, though, because I now have the BJ400 set up with the stock panel and the Hawker set up with the Jet Line 4. They are both great panels, and having them both adds some needed variety to the sim soup. I will probably get the Citations when I upgrade the computer in a year or two. I find that the BJ/Hawker in VC pushes the limits, and the newer FSD planes are barely useable.

well last weekend I purchased the X and WOW! what a beautiful airplane. the alternate views for the VC are much better than the default, saved me a whole lot of trouble tweaking the numbers like I had to do with the ready for pushback V2.The thing just flies, brought her up to FL510 @ .93 mach and she still handles like a dream. lands perfectly as well. The model is amazing and I've found the standard to be the least framerate hog. You even see the pilots moving their heads when looking from an outside view! wowAnyway I might have to purchase the II in a few weeks when I hopefully find a new job to pay for this expensive yet exciting hobby

I see you have banner under your name saying PMDG 737NG/800 flyer.Does this mean that you own the PMDG 737NG?If so what can the X offer that you won't get with the PMDG jet?

>If you want realism, I would suggest waiting for the Citation>II as it does not have an FMC to miss. It's just stick and>rudder with the GPS or Radials. But that's me.Why wait? As far as I can see on eaglesoft website the Citation II is already offered for sale.

I Have both the CItation X and the Citation II. I Love the CItation X, fly it for GA all the time, she's a Beaut. The II Is a little simpler, and don't fly that nearly as often. Once you've tried the "X" you don't need another Biz Jet, IMO.

thanks for the advice, I will probably wait for something else, definately the pmdg 747 but possibly a dc-9 by jetcity.

If you're into handflying the jets and want one with great framerates, try the Citation II. It's reasonably priced at 19.99 and flys great (of course, the flight model was done by Rob Young :-) )I'm stunned that there's next to no hit on frames when compared even to default aircraft, at least on my machine. And I have a "low-mid level" P4 2.4 , GeForce 4200Ti 64meg card. This one doesn't have the fancy FMC, you have to navigate on guages like a real pilot ;-) - that is, unless you cheat with the GPS :(

the eaglesoft Biz jets are good but I've stopped buying them. I've purchased the 400a, XP and Premier1. Eaglesoft originally said the 400a and Premier1 was there starter product and that there next released biz jet would have all the bells and whistles including an FMC. Then they said RealityXP was working on an FMC so they where not going to produce the FMC in there Biz jets! Well this has turned me off buying from them! Now days high end FS add-on aircraft come with every major function ( FMC's etc... ) I just don't understand why Eaglesoft don't do FMC's into there aircraft? They do such a good aircraft!!

Pete, after some deliberation we have decided to respond to your post since your statements are in error.Your statement> Eaglesoft originally said the 400a and Premier1 was there starter product and that there next released biz jet would have all the bells and whistles including an FMC.This statement was not issued by Eaglesoft Development Group and we ask you kindly to retract this statement and desist from making any statement of Eaglesoft Development Group policy. You are not an officer of Eaglesoft Development Group and therefore have no right to state policy for us. 1. Our policy is very simple. We will not and do not promise what we cannot deliver.2. We have repeatedly stated in our forums that an FMC for our aircraft will only happen as a seperate addon....tailored to each aircraft. 3. Our partnership with Reality XP simply allows users of Eaglesoft Development Group aircraft an option to integrate Reality XP gauges/systems into our products. Such integration of RXP products including their FMC into Eaglesoft Development Group products is at the users discretion and REQUIRES a purchase of RXP products. While you are not required to purchase anything from Eaglesoft Development Group you are certainly not authorized to make statements for Eaglesoft Development Group:-)

It wasn't a month ago when I posted this question. ;)

Not quite sure what your question has to do with this topic, but my answer is actually quite simple. It's a different type/feel of flying. Somtimes I'm not in the mood to load up the NG and haul 150 PAX around. As some are fans of ALL genres of aviation it's not uncommon to find some who have quite an impressive hangar full of commercial, general aviation, and any other type of aircraft you might be able to think of. Me, I like em all, hence, my query a month ago on aquiring a nice corporate aircraft. I trust that my answer will appease your curiosity.
