August 1, 201213 yr Author If during start up one of your ignition systems isn't working, don't fret because it will probably work again after a couple of minutes idling Weird that I just had the same problem yesterday. Maybe it's the same problem... during runup I switched to the first magneto and the engine stopped. At the second magneto the engine ran, but there was no RPM drop. Engine ran on both. And after a couple of minutes, it ws back to normal. At the same time I had problems with the moving map... it was coming up black for random levels of detail. Eventually it worked itself out. I thought I'd done something to corrupt the data, and I may have. Anyway, after 20 hours logged in the Cub (the hour meter on the tach only read 18) and two full tanks of fuel (landed with 0.4 usable gallons on the last flight which was about 120 miles), I'm flying the Maule again. Big difference between those two planes. I'll be back to the Cub, it's just too much fun. I was just ready for a change. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
August 1, 201213 yr CC is just so chuck-able and great for seeing sights and scaring passengers. Haven't stopped on many airports though, I tend to just land in people's backyards The CC makes that Maule look FAST though - I like the positive flaps on that thing and landing with it is still the best.
