July 26, 201213 yr My framerates drop and start jumping between the mid to high teens and 20s, sometime going in to single digits. I have good frames in other conditions, 30-50 and higher. I'm hoping someone could help me find the bottleneck in my system. July 26, 201213 yr One thing jumps out at me about your system, and I don't know that this is the answer to your problem but it certainly won't hurt. You have 12GB of 1333MHz RAM. You will see greater performance if you swap this out for 8 or 16GB of faster RAM, anywhere from 1600MHz to 2133MHz (that's as fast as it gets on Sandy Bridge).
July 26, 201213 yr What AA do you use in nvidia inspector. 4x SGSS by any chance? Try turning down the AA in nvidia inspector and see if it helps. In that case it's your video card that is bottlenecking you. I very much doubt the RAM is the culprit in this case

I very much doubt the RAM is the culprit in this case What I was meaning was that his performance doesn't seem out-of-line for the level of hardware that he has. Getting faster RAM would give him the 3-4 FPS he needs for smooth flight.
July 26, 201213 yr I did try changing the AA, with some minimal improvement. I did try sparse grid supersampling, which was marginally worse than regular.
July 27, 201213 yr I am curious, becuse its Very similar to My Old system. What type of mems 12gb ? 3x4 or what , do dual channel work? Do à Adia64 men bench i can check that to My saved 2700k Adia benches. And run GpuMark check it agianst My 670 results. Hasse http://
July 27, 201213 yr Commercial Member Have nvidia inspector open AND task manager and observe what is happening... Do you get 99% in your GPU? Do you get 100% in your CPU? Do you get both? Observe your hard disk use at the moment.. Also, Do you get blurring? stuttering? These will tell you where to look initially... __________________________________________________________________________________________ My FS Photos - My MSFS Settings - i7-14700K / 64GB RAM / MSI 4070 Ti SUPER / 1440p
July 27, 201213 yr Gpu usage i normaly not higher than 90% on nv Inspector with 670-680 bug? But have you overclocked the card? When you ar close to the limit and Gpu shall start its work hard it can start Trottling that have happend to me on 670 and 680 and it only happens in heavy Clouds. http://
July 28, 201213 yr A simple question: what clouds are you using? I discovered there are big differences in FPS when using for instance ActiveSky clouds vs REX clouds (I even made a big thread about this, but I was discharged by a beta tester who said it was not so). Try a simple thing: go default clouds and see how it performs.

August 1, 201213 yr Rex clouds better FPS than stock clouds? Bonus question, best ram for SB price not an issue. Thanks in advance.
August 1, 201213 yr Rex clouds better FPS than stock clouds? Bonus question, best ram for SB price not an issue. Thanks in advance. 2133MHz is as fast as it gets on SB, G.Skill and Team are my preferred brands at the moment, but for 2133 speed you might as well just get the cheap Samsung 30nm 1600 modules that are virtually guaranteed to hit 2400, let alone 2133.
August 1, 201213 yr Commercial Member REX, in my opinion and after testing. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD In DXT5 format, I guess, right? Also, any considerable IQ difference between DXT5 and 32bit? 2133MHz is as fast as it gets on SB, G.Skill and Team are my preferred brands at the moment, but for 2133 speed you might as well just get the cheap Samsung 30nm 1600 modules that are virtually guaranteed to hit 2400, let alone 2133. What he said lol Those pesky little Samsungs are great overclockers and at $49 for a kit of 8GB, it's a steal. Regards, Efrain RuizLiveDISPATCH @ http://www.livedispatch.org (CLOSED) ☹️

What he said lol Those pesky little Samsungs are great overclockers and at $49 for a kit of 8GB, it's a steal. There is some difference between 32bit and dxt5, but the more powerful card, it's less noticable, so I never bothered to measure. I am using 32bit I think, and I tested 32bit on both the whole rex vs activesky thing. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
